Somra was glad to get away from the group she had joined, even if it was just temporary. Any distance put between herself and them felt like too short of a distance. She still hadn’t decided if she wanted to stay with them or go off on her own. She knew that if she was going to leave, she would need to move fast and far. They would be very unhappy with her parting, and no doubt they would attempt to hunt her down for fear that she would reveal any information she had learned about their group. Somra wouldn’t do that, she wasn’t that type of person, but this group had about as much trust between them as a pack of wild dogs.
For now, she was told that she was free to get to know the city, to keep her eyes and ears out for anything that might be important to the group and their purpose in the Greek city of Midas. She planned on doing that, and though she did not yet know how loyal she would remain to the group, she would report back anything important she might hear. She planned on playing it like she remained loyal to the group, she could not have them getting suspicious of her actions. The last thing she needed was one of them getting angry about her not putting effort in, or figuring out her thoughts of leaving the group.
She thought that she would use her strengths to her advantage, and so she sought out a tavern, though she made sure to find one well away from the abandoned house that they had lay claim to. Partially to make sure that she drew no attention from anyone who might have a reason to be in that area, and partially just to enjoy the feeling of having some sort of distance between herself and the others.
She had decided she would use her feminine charms in an attempt to find some information, or perhaps even just make a connection that might lead her to someone who could give her such information. And so, dressed in a silky black dress, which was attention grabbing but also subtle if she chose to duck into a crowd.
She sauntered in to the tavern, hips swaying as she played on her looks, noting the amount of males in the tavern who’s attentions were turned to the young, exotic woman who had just walked in. She sat herself neatly down at a table and waited, knowing that soon enough the braver ones in the tavern would be drawn to her. Like flies to honey.

It was finally a day for reprieve for Daxos. After the past few weeks of keeping up with Maleos' grueling drills and being glued to the younger Valaoritis, he felt it was time to party. Of course, Daxos did not come to the tavern alone. He had his good friend and pal Maxis with him, who also had some free time as well.
They arrived quite early, preferring to eat before they decided to dive headfirst into the sea of wine they were going to drink. The first hour passed as they stuffed their faces with smiles and laughs. For the first time since coming to Midas, Daxos felt at ease, relaxed, and for once he didn't worry about the future.
"Well you see Daxos, I heard that the captain has been eyeing a lady," Maxis said with some food in his mouth some of it spitting on Daxos' face, "now you didn't hear it from me, but I say our captain might be getting married in the next couple of years."
The rumor had caught Daxos off-guard, the Captain was a serious man who seemed to only think of the nation and the military. This was interesting indeed. Daxos wasn't, however, excited for the bits of food on his face. He took his hand and wiped the bits of food off his face and replied, "Maxis. Please swallow your food before talking. You're not a barbarian. And why are you putting stock into some rumors? Best keep your mouth quiet. What if it's not true and that got back 'round to Captain Maleos?"
Maxis swallowed and thought long and hard before answering, "I'd probably have to do some crazy drills. I guess you're right." He sat quietly for one moment, but Daxos could tell he was wanting to talk about it. Before he could open his mouth, the door to the tavern opened.
Daxos took a glance at the door to see who had entered but was immediately taken back. In walked the most beautiful woman he had seen in years. Her small frame and dark skin aroused him immediately. The way her body moved as she walked across. Trouble. That's what he thought of her as she walked by. But she was exactly the kind of trouble that Daxos wanted.
"Whatcha lookin' at there Daxos?" He could hear the playfulness in Maxis' voice as he nudged his shoulder. The soldier realized he was staring at this woman and looked back at his companion, rubbing his neck in embarrassment. "Is she your fancy? You seem to be lost, my friend."
Daxos chuckled lightly, "She's an exotic flower unlike any I have seen in many years." His mind wandered back to his wife, but it was not sadness this time, for the mood was too bright in the room, but a fond remembrance. Trying to throw off his total infatuation with the woman who just entered he laughed, "Honestly I just want to leave her sore in the morning if you know what I mean." He nudged his companion.
Maxis knew it was bullshit. Daxos had wanted another wife for a long time. Maxis also knew that the soldier was a complete idiot and didn't like good strong Greek women. He handed Daxos a cup of wine, "Drink you moron. Get some courage and speak with her."
Daxos stared at the cup. I would like to talk to her... He downed the cup, grabbed the pitcher they were sharing and winked at Maxis. His companion laughed and gave one in return. The soldier stood up, took a deep breath, and walked over to the woman.
With each step over to her table, he found his throat getting dry and his heart pounding. He hadn't approached a woman since his wife had passed. He visited brothels from time to time of course, but that was just to satisfy his urges.
He finished his what seemed like eternal walk up to her table, he could feel his nerves dancing like fire throughout his body. He dry swallowed and tried to put on his best suave face, "Hello. You have a nice... face." Daxos felt his face burn immediately. A nice face? Fucking pathetic, he thought to himself. A complete misfire.
He laughed nervously, "I mean, you have a lovely visage." Daxos felt his chest tighten. He took another breath before continuing, setting his pitcher of wine down on the table, "Do you care for a drink?" He tried his best to not be intimidating. It was quite hard for the large man. He assumed he was about a head or so taller than her, and his muscular build did not help. He felt awkward standing there in front of her. He had been out of the game for far too long.

Somra sat at her table, humming lightly, a song that her mother had once sang to her when she was still a child. She knew that it wouldn’t be long until at least one of the men in the tavern would approach her, she knew she was beautiful and it was something she had always used to her advantage. If she had the looks, she didn’t see why she shouldn’t use them. Men were easy creatures, one look at a woman and they could be wrapped around her finger. She could feel several sets of eyes on her, catching a few words of conversation from several nearby tables as they whispered about her and talked of approaching her.
Soon enough she heard the heavy footfalls of someone who clearly had no care for walking like a human instead of an elephant. She listened to his footsteps but did not look up until he had made it to her table, playing oblivious to his approach as if she hadn’t heard him walking from across the room.
She looked up at him, her nearly black eyes one of her most exotic features as she gave him a soft and innocent smile as he attempted to compliment her. Inside she was rolling her eyes at his approach, was that the best he could do? On the outside she kept up her cute and innocent act.
He was a rather large man, which she liked, she had to admit she was partial to men who were tall and well built. He was handsome in that basic Greek way, not the worst she could do in this place. She wondered if he had money. Not that it would matter if he did not, perhaps he would have information for her, which would prove more valuable than any money he might be in possession of. She did appreciate that he did not approach empty handed, and instead came bearing a gift in the form of a large amount of wine.
She flashed him another smile, reaching up to gently run a hand down his arm, just a short and teasing touch, but enough to pull him further into her web.
“I would quite enjoy a drink. Perhaps you could procure two cups and join me at my table? I would much appreciate the company.” She said, her voice soft and sweet, dripping with sugar. She knew what she was doing, though from the look on his face, she guessed it would not have been hard to draw him in in the first place. He seemed about ready to propose marriage right then and there.
When the cups were brought for the wine, she motioned for him to take a seat in the chair across from her. She kept her dark eyes trained on him, giving him her full attention, though she was constantly aware of her surroundings, always listening for any sign of trouble. She could only imagine what would happen if Khanh or someone were to walk in right now, and she sent up a silent prayer that they would all stay well away from this tavern.
“Nadera.” She said, introducing herself with one of her fake names, batting her eyelashes a little bit as she spoke.
“And what is it that they call you? Other than handsome, that is.” She purred, picking up her cup to take a slow sip of the wine within. Not the best she had ever tasted, but it would do, especially considering it was free. Better than the swill they had back at camp, or what they called camp in the abandoned building they had taken over.

He found her smile warm and inviting, something he wasn't sure how to respond to. When her hand touched his arm, he felt as if he had been set on fire. This woman had ensnared him. He knew it. In his mind, he was fighting with himself. This woman is serious trouble. Her eyes were the real culprit. Dark and mysterious, yet open and inviting. He had seen eyes like these before, and it scared him. He could lose himself for hours in them.
After a moment of staring into her eyes, he felt his face burn once again. He chuckled nervously again and left to get cups. He turned his head to Maxis who was sitting with a large grin on his face. His companion gave him the thumbs up and Daxos shook his head smiling. Regardless of how this fared, he would still have Maxis to relax with. He felt more at ease knowing that his friend was nearby.
When he returned with the cups, his nerves had diminished somewhat and he walked back with more confidence. He smiled as he placed the cups on the table and poured her some wine, "I would be honored to join such an exotic flower. Your beauty is not something one sees every day." He poured himself a cup and sat down across from her, resting his forearms on the table.
He noted that despite her looking at Daxos, that something else was on her mind. Trouble? Jealous ex-lover? Daxos wasn't afraid of some heartbroken boy. The soldier could handle almost anyone in a one on one fight. Hopefully she's not on the run from someone... He found the woman beyond charming and would be miffed if it ended so soon.
"Nadera." He repeated her name and he liked the way it danced on his lips. He felt a small smile creep at his lips. Normally he tried to suppress his smiles, but he knew that this wasn't the time. At least he hoped. The woman was stunning unlike any he had seen since his wife. As soon as the thought of his wife passed through his mind, his smile diminished somewhat.
"I am known as Daxos, my lady." He bowed his head slightly in respect. He took a small drink from his cup, "Though I am not often called handsome. Most call me, 'ox' or 'brute'. Sometimes 'insufferable moron' from a certain someone..." Daxos laughed as he thought of the insults that he received from Silanos. "I must appreciate your compliment, for I have no been complimented by one so stunning in many years." The smile on his mouth crept up to his eyes.
"What pray tell, brings a lovely lady such as you to Colchis? I can tell you're not from around here." He drank once more, feeling the burn travel from his throat down to his loins. His eyes cast a quick glance across her body. She was a bit skinny, but noted the definition of her muscles. It was likely she was a dancer of some kind. That kind of flexibility didn't do Daxos any favors as his loins continued to stir.
"And may I be so bold as to ask what you do for a living? You seem more to be very confident in yourself. Perhaps you are a performer?" Daxos shifted in his chair, doing his best to still his emotions as he scanned her for falsehoods. He was a soldier first and foremost, he knew that since war was looming on the horizon that Egypt might try to send spies to Colchis. He couldn't let himself be ensnared by her completely. Or he hoped he wouldn't at least.

“An exotic flower?” She asked, one eyebrow raising in amused questioning at the compliment. “Is that how the men here in Colchis woo a lady?” She asked with a little giggle, her accent giving her away as someone from distant lands, lands which he had probably never heard of. Not that it mattered, it wasn’t as if she had any plans on going back there, and no plans on doing such with him.
His smile caused hers to widen, as awkward and lumbering as he was, there was something endearing about the confidence he had in approaching her despite his nerves. She had to admire a man who could tell someone they had a nice face and still have the courage to sit down and continue their attempts to flirt. He was not one to give up easily at least, and it was lucky for him that she wasn’t actually looking for someone for a real relationship or she would have gotten up and walked away at his first awkward comment. At least he was good looking, he had that going for him.
She giggled once more as he repeated the names he was called, her hand reaching over the table to run her fingertips across the back of his much larger hand, eyes not leaving his as she leaned forward just a little. “Well clearly the one calling you such things is a blind fool.” She said sweetly, pulling her hand away from his to take another drink of the wine he had poured for her.
“Clever man. I am in fact a performer, and that is what has brought me to such a place. I travel the lands, making my coin performing acrobatics along with a few other talents which serve me well.” She replied, which had been the truth up until recently. She could hardly add in that she now travelled with a band of thieves and they were in Midas for criminal purposes. He didn’t need to actually know that part.
“And what of you, Daxos? Pray tell what one such as yourself does. Though by the looks of you, I could take a guess at your chosen career.” She said, swirling the wine in her glass a little, though her dark eyes remained locked in place with a soft gaze towards him. Even if he didn’t have any information for her, he might be able to provide a warm place to sleep that wasn’t the spider-infested hovel that the group had been in since their arrival. Even one night in a real bed would prove far preferable to sleeping on the hard floor of the half-burnt house. Especially knowing Khanh wasn’t around. She hadn’t slept well at the thought of him being so close by.

"Not that I'm aware of. That's how I woo women." He winked at her with a coy smile on his lips. He had hoped that he was smooth in the delivery. He hadn't put this much effort into trying to seduce a woman in ages if he was, in fact, the one doing the seducing. Daxos wasn't too sure if he was or not.
Everything about this woman screamed danger in the soldier's mind. She was too beautiful, too alluring, too damn confident. She knew she was beautiful and she was using it to her advantage. The soldier had faced down many opponents in his life, but this woman was by far the most dangerous. Her eyes were pitfalls that a man could find himself in, unable to escape.
Her giggle was music to his ears, only furthering his descent into madness. He wasn't sure if her giggles and warm smile were true. She could be trying to weasel money from the soldier or worst of all, information. She could indeed be a spy for Egypt, but her accent wasn't something he was used too. He shifted in his seat nervously.
With each touch she gave him, he felt lightning shoot through his body. His hand twitched underneath hers as she ran her fingers along his hand. Every time he lost all thought, only for him to bring himself back to reality. Each time it was getting harder and harder. The wine probably didn't help either.
He took another swig from his cup and refilled it, offering to refill Nadera's if she needed one. "The one calling me that is a spoiled man-child. He will get his just due soon enough." He chuckled to himself at the prospect of making the young lord train until he dropped. A dark glee came over him as he thought of his punishment.
The soldier was proud of his assumption for it turned out to be correct. He listened to her intently and nodded, "You're an accomplished traveler then? I suppose you won't be staying in Midas for long?" There was a tinge of sadness in his voice but he knew that due to her profession, it would be best to keep moving. Fresh clientele means more money.
"I am a soldier by trade, I'm quite sure you probably guessed that. Though I'm also a musician and a father." He stated distractedly. It took a few moments for what he said to cross his mind, and when they did, he came back to reality, "Ah. My wife died in childbirth." He said it quietly as he looked back into his drink. He took another big swig.
He tried his best to recover, "Though I've been told that a promotion is in my future," he said smiling awkwardly. It had only been a couple days since Maleos had told him of his intentions, and the high was still going strong from that encounter.
His eyes danced over the small figure again, taking in her frame. Thoughts flashed through his head that he would break her in half from an intense night of love-making. The wine had started to take its effect as he felt his body become warm and loose. His nervous demeanor drifted away. He looked away from her and back over to his friend Maxis, who was chatting with some Greek woman.
Daxos didn't talk for a few moments, silent in contemplation. Eventually he spoke again, "do you have a goal in mind?" He asked, "Do you plan on traveling your whole life? Or do you plan on returning home?" He turned his gaze back to her, his eyes now bearing deeply into hers. His dark eyes shone bright as the flames of the hearth flickered in them. For one moment he felt like he was back in control of himself, his nerves slipping away and he folded his hands under his chin.

She thanked him once her cup had been refilled with the wine, feeling the amount she had already consumed warming her a little as she sat there with him. At the moment she was unsure of her intentions with him, not knowing if he would provide any information for her. Or if he even had any information to provide that is, for all she knew he was clueless to anything important in Midas. Perhaps she would enjoy his company either way, at least he wasn’t bad to look at, and he wasn’t likely to treat her as roughly as the men back at camp would, though he had very different intentions for her than any of the men in her group did.
“Is that so? And tell me, will you be the one delivering what he is due?” She asked, a genuine smile on her face as she saw the look his his eyes at this thought of vengeance, who ever he was speaking of must really be someone he disliked. She could understand that, she was very much the vengeful type, even if she didn’t always get her vengeance right away, she was not one to forget the slights of others against her.
She shrugged. “I grow weary of travelling. There is only so much one can do before they long for a real home.” She said, a little bit of truth in the words she spoke. “Alas, I have yet to find a reason to settle, my skills lie in performance, and performance requires enthralled crowds, not something that can be had if one stays still for long.” She said, though she hoped he would take the bait and get the idea in his head that he would get her to stay, if that was what he wished.
“I had a feeling, a man of your stature would make an excellent warrior.” She said, though she was surprised to hear he could sing, she made a note to see if she could get him to do such a thing with a bit more wine in his system. She took a drink of her own wine as she listened to him quickly state that his wife no longer lived, a sign that he was looking to most likely get her in bed, why else would he be so quick to state that he was no longer a married man?
“A promotion is it?” She asked, her voice still as smooth as silk as she shifted her chair closer to him so she could place a hand on his knee and look up at the taller man.
“That sounds like an occasion to be celebrated if there ever was one.” She said, her mind settling on an attempt to get information from him. She knew that unless a soldier was higher in the ranks, they did not make much money, and as he had not used a title when introducing himself, she thought it safe to assume that he held none. But as a man who was in the military and looking at a potential promotion, he might have some information that would be of interest to the Sariqas.

Despite all of the red flags going off in his head, he couldn't help but be ensnared by this exotic woman before him. Her accent. Her skin. Her face. Her lips. Everything that Daxos had ached to take this woman back home and show her a good time. His head was beginning to swim, he had already been drinking when she had arrived, and he hadn't stopped since.
Daxos laughed at her question, "Yes I will be one of the people dolling out this punishment." He rubbed his hands together menacingly with a savage smile crossing his lips, "He will learn that if you beat a war dog every day, one day it'll rip your throat out." Perhaps it was the alcohol, but for a brief moment, his soft demeanor was replaced by malice.
He looked back up at Nadera and laughed nervously, the dark look disappeared replaced by an apologetic one. "Forgive me. I'm just imagining a satisfying revenge. I'm sure you've dealt with some asshole who you couldn't do anything to. I cannot wait to punch the young lord in the face." As soon as he said it, he knew he shouldn't have. The pit dropped in his stomach. Regardless, he downed his cup and tried his best to push past that bit of information.
"I see. It's understandable that you would want to settle down. Even I don't wish to be a soldier my whole life." He nodded in contemplation, "Though I can understand your predicament. Once people get tired of an act, they stop paying. It's a bit like mercenary work. Once all the pay is gone, you pack up and move on..."
"Though if you ever did settle down and chose Colchis as the place, the province of Eubocris is quite beautiful. It's been carved out of the mountain. The view from the top of those mountains and cliffs is gorgeous," he smiled and gave Nadera a wink, "Not as beautiful as the sight I see before me."
He perked up when she spoke about him being a soldier, "Yes. Quite a famous one among my fellow soldiers. I seem to be one of the better duelists in the army, as well as the anchor point of the phalanx." He was very proud of that fact. He worked hard to prove he was the toughest son of a bitch in the unit, and it showed.
"Yes, a promotion. I've been after it for a few years. But military politics seemed to trump hard work for the most part." The solider was still quite bitter to the late Baron. He had proven himself an excellent soldier and even able to make good decisions, it was a mistake passing over him. He hoped Timaeus would not make the same mistake.
"A celebration? It's not set in stone yet. Though..." He smiled warmly at the beautiful woman before him before turning his head, "More wine, please! This lovely woman and I need more wine please!" He called out to the barkeep with a grin on his face.
"What are your plans tonight? Did you come here just to sit by yourself? Or where you hoping to ensnare some poor sucker for a free drink? If that was your plan well I think you succeeded." This time Daxos went on the offensive. He took her hand softly, noting how much smaller her's was, and brought it to his lips. He kissed it tenderly. Daxos knew that if he was sober, he probably wouldn't be as ballsy as he was now. The dancer in front of him said she wasn't going to be here long, so he might as well enjoy her company while he can.

Somra was surprised at his reaction, he must really hate who ever this man was that he was going to get revenge on. She could see the danger burning in his eyes, and she had to admit, it was a bit of a turn on. She had a thing for dangerous men, though she did not know why. Seeing that side of him made her attraction a bit more real, and suddenly it wasn’t a total act to her. Though she was still not able to be herself with him, she didn’t have to fake her attraction.
She gave him a genuine grin.
“There is nothing to forgive. I quite enjoy a man who isn’t afraid to take his revenge.” She purred, trying to assure him that he did not need to watch his words with her. She took note that it was a lord he would be taking his revenge on. It wasn’t so much the revenge she cared about, but rather his connection to someone with a noble title. Perhaps he would lead to a satisfying conclusion. Hopefully in more than one way.
She smiled softly at his compliment, batting her eyelashes at him a little.
“Eubocris? Is that where you’re from?” She asked curiously, noting the name as well. She had no idea if that would prove to mean anything in her little scouting mission, but she knew that things that may seem insignificant might prove to be important with further context.
“Hmm, a man of strength and talents then. My favourite kind.” She said, she could see in his face how proud he was of being a soldier. She cared little for matters of war and death, but she would play along with him if it made him happy. The happier he was, the more likely he was to spill something he probably shouldn’t mention. She knew how to play men like a fiddle, after watching her mother and the other whores do it her whole childhood. The only difference is Somra only gave up sex when she actually wanted to. She took pride in being control of her own body, and men who had tried to take that from her had learned the sting of her dagger.
She grinned more as he ordered more wine before taking her hand and questioning her reason for being in the tavern. She blushed a little at the kiss to his hand. He was so soft and sweet, and yet he was strong as well. It was a little flustering for her, and so she had to fight to regain control once more and focus on her reason for talking to him in the first place.
“I did not plan to ensnare a man into buying me drinks, but alas, it seems to be quite a perk.” She said softly. She moved from her chair, and instead stood in front of him, taking a seat in his lap, she ran a hand teasingly down his cheek and neck before resting it on his chest, dark eyes looking up at him with a bit of a mischievous look.
“Take care not to drink too much wine, I wouldn’t want you to forget your night with me so easily.” She said, leaning in to whisper the words into his ear to ensure that they were only for him.

He was trying as best as he could to keep his mind on not revealing any more information to this woman. The wine and her intoxicating presence were not helping whatsoever. The large smile that she gave him warmed his heart. Or perhaps it was the wine deciding to send a wave of warmth through his body.
Despite his internal struggle to keep information to himself, he couldn't remember the last time he had a conversation with a woman who was this beautiful and who seemed to enjoy his own company. Many women found him to be nothing but a dumb brute. Others found him to be too intimidating. Here this woman seemed to relish in his large stature and cold-hearted side.
He nodded as he took a draw from his cup, "Indeed. It is my home. If you're ever coming back through Colchis in the future you should stop by there for a day or two, if only to take the sights in. Though I'm sure you can make quite a bit of money there as well."
Smiling wide at her compliments, "Oh, I am quite sure you are a woman of many talents as well." His eyes danced upon her body soaking in her exquisite beauty. His manhood was almost at full attention now. He shifted in his seat to adjust it as best he could without giving it away. He refilled both of their cups once again and took a small drink, noting that he had to slow down before anything else got out.
He laughed heartily, "With one so beautiful as you, you wouldn't even need money in a place like this. I'm sure if I wasn't sitting with you, some other soul would have made his move before long. I am glad that I made the first move. Otherwise, I would not have had the pleasure of seeing your beauty up close."
His eyebrow raised as she stood up in front of him, "Yes?" When she sat down on his lap, he knew it was over. He was ensnared. Her hand gently glided down his check and to his chest and sent waves of pleasure through his body. Not in many years had a woman sent this kind of energy through him. He could feel his manhood, which was fully erect, pressing against her as she purred into his ears.
"Ah..." He took a moment to formulate a response, her intoxicating smell and presence causing a momentary lapse in his mind, "I'm not sure I could forget someone like you." His hand wrapped around her small waist gently and leaned into her ear, "The night is still young. Perhaps you'd like to get out of here and go for a walk?" His head was fuzzy and the only thing he could think of now was getting her back to his small home in the city, out of her dress, and onto his bed. He wanted this woman. Not just sexually, but romantically, but he shoved those feelings back as best he could, she wouldn't be staying long. No need to get his hopes up.

She felt like he was a great target for her mission, he seemed to be unable or unwilling to resist her charms. She wondered if he was falling for it or if he knew that she was bad news and just didn’t care. Either way, things were working for her and with any luck, he would slip up and reveal something to her that she would be able to bring back to the group. At the very least he could provide a warm bed for a night or two while she was in the area, which was better than the idea of sleeping on the floor of the abandoned house again.
Somra nodded a little when he said she should stop by Eubocris. She doubted she would ever find a reason to, unless there was money to be had there and she decided to stick with the band of thieves, other than that, her performing days were behind her. Not that he knew that or needed to know that.
“I will make my way there sometime soon, I am sure. Maybe once Midas has dried up of coin for me, I could perhaps find myself in Eubocris.” She said, sounding completely genuine about it despite having zero plans of ever ending up there.
She giggled as he complimented her and said that someone else would have made a move to sit with her and buy her drinks if he hadn’t. She was certain he was right, in fact she had been counting on it. Even now there were eyes on the two of them, probably trying to calculate their chances of stealing her away from the man she now sat with.
She could feel his excitement as she sat in his lap, quite literally, and she couldn’t help but feel her confidence boosted knowing what she could do to him without even touching him. It was a great feeling, knowing she had this power over men. He seemed to be unable to speak for a few moments, and she loved every second of it. The fact that she could render such a man so useless with a few words and a touch was an intoxicating feeling, more so than any amount of wine.
She thought about it for a moment when he asked if she would go for a walk with him, debating with herself how far she would let this moment go. He was attractive, clearly had at least a bit of money if he was buying so much wine for them, and a warm bed would be nice for the night at least. She really didn’t see any reason not to let herself have a bit of fun, besides, if sex were to happen, it would hopefully help her potentially get some useful information from him.
She moved to stand up, finishing off what was left in her wine glass as she did so.
“Come then. I trust you will be able to keep me warm in the chill of the night.” She said teasingly, the look in her eyes showing him that she knew it wasn’t a simple walk that he meant to take her on.

When she said she would visit his homeland, the soldier knew she was lying. She was not the first entertainer he had tried to woo. Though, this was the only one who had ever seemed to reciprocate his feelings past a few free drinks. Not that it mattered. She would be gone soon and he would never see this face again. A pity. I would like to marry her, he thought bitterly.
Through her continued presence against his body and the allure of her voice wiped, those negative thoughts were wiped clean from his mind. The look in her eyes told him that she was willing and able. A beast rose up from his mind. It always took him when he lay with women. He would never physically hit his partner, but there was always something lurking in the back. Some kind of primal savagery that would take him.
Seeing her finishing her cup, Daxos did the same, slammed the cup down on the table, and laid a small bag of coin on the table. The left side of his mouth curled up in a mischevious smile, his eyes playful. He helped her to her feet before following in suit. He turned to where Maxis was sitting, noting his body was grinning ear to ear. Daxos didn't outwardly respond, but he secretly sent the man the thumbs up. Daxos could hear the man laugh as the soldier exited the establishment with Nadera.
The cool crisp air was a welcomed change to the soldier. He could feel the sweat that was on his body begin to evaporate. He took a deep breath doing his best to collect his swimming thoughts and turned to his beautiful companion and found himself lost in her once more. Her almost black eyes seemed to draw him in even further and further into the madness. He could feel the beast in his chest strain to get out.
"You are a spirit of beauty and grace." He didn't know why he said it, but it came out anyway. He wasn't untruthful. In the combination of moonlight and torchlight, she cut a stunning figure. He knew he would see this moment in his dreams. The shadows danced across her face and body as Daxos soaked in the sight of this world-class beauty. His manhood and loins ached. He had to get her home.
"Come. I have more wine at my home." He motioned for her to follow. He began to make his way some streets towards his home. He had rented it for when his daughter was to arrive. Usually, he slept at the barracks, but he wouldn't have his daughter around all those weapons. He rented a small place not too far from the tavern itself.
Each step he could feel the caged beast in his chest rage. It wanted out. It wanted to play. He stifled it the best he could, doing his best not to scare the woman, "It is quite cool tonight." He said blandly. He didn't know what to say. He was never good at holding conversations with anyone truly. Except maybe the man-child, but that's mostly because he was insufferable.
It wasn't long before they were at the soldier's small home. It was a bland stone two-room home. He opened the door and stepped inside, a small flame dwindling in a pit, "Please, make yourself at home." The home itself was bare for the most part. There was a small table he used for cutting vegetables against the wall outlooking a window. Another table sat at the opposite end flanked by two chairs. A lyre sat on its surface.
The soldier moved over to it and picked up, strumming it softly. He played only a few chords before he put it back down to take off his sandals. He nodded towards the other chair next to him, "Have a seat. Although..." he smiled at Nadera coyly, "The bed is the most comfortable place to sit."
The soldier stood up and grabbed a few sticks he had lying against the wall and began to tend to the fire. After stoking the flame back to life, he stood up, grabbed a jug of wine and cups off the shelf above his dining table and poured two cups. Daxos brought a cup over to her and looked her deeply in the eyes, "A strange question to ask, but why have you come here?" It was an open-ended question. If she was indeed a spy, she might let something slip now. If she wanted to fuck, the soldier would be happy to oblige her.

When he wasn’t paying attention, she took the coins from the table and slipped them into one of the hidden pockets sewn into her dress, pockets she had added in for just such purposes, and Daxos seemed far too distracted with the prospect of bringing her home to notice that the payment for the drinks had gone missing from the table. It wasn’t much money, but it was money nonetheless, and money that she was sure no one would notice missing. It would be chalked up to just another drunk patron who forgot to pay, or a thief amongst the staff, or any other number of coincidences.
She followed him out into the night air, the sudden temperature change hit her dark skin and she enjoyed it for the moment, she knew that too long outside and she would start getting too cold, but at the moment it was nice to cool down after the heat of the tavern they had been in.
She was caught off guard by his compliment, the surprise bringing a genuine blush to her lips and a smile. That was a lot better than the words he had first approached her with, and she gave him a small giggle.
“You’ve already gotten me drunk and on the way to your house, you no longer need to try so hard.” She said in a light and teasing tone, playing off the surprising joy she had gotten from his words. He didn’t need to know that she had been so pleasantly surprised by him.
She raised an eyebrow after his comment about how cool it was, it seemed he was not a great conversationalist after all. She said nothing, it was obvious that it was cool out, she didn’t think she needed to add on to his words. Unlike him, she did not feel the need to fill their walk with idle chatter, they both knew where they were going and what would happen when they arrived.
His house was… unimpressive. Boring, and screaming of the lower class, it was not the place she would have chosen to spend the night in if she had any choice, and yet it was still better than the run down, burnt house that was her alternative.
She looked around at the small room, then looked at him as she heard the lyre being played, surprised that he knew how to play. It seemed he was full of surprises that night, and the more she was learning the more genuinely interested she was. There seemed to be more to him than he let on, and she almost wanted to spend more time with him. She supposed she would see how that night went, and how long she would even be in the area. The last thing she needed was for him to some how figure out that she wasn’t a travelling entertainer any longer and was in fact part of a large faction of thieves. She assumed since he was a military man, he had some sort of moral compass that would mean he would need to turn her in if he ever found out, no matter how much of a bond they had.
She giggled at his suggestion that the bed was the most comfortable place to sit, and she did just that, moving to sit on the bed, she crossed her legs gracefully, looking everything like a woman of nobility, though a scantily clad woman of nobility, as her dress didn’t exactly leave much to the imagination.
“I assume you mean to ask why I have followed you to your house, as we have already discussed why I am here in Midas.” She said, taking the wine, she took a sip before she set the cup aside and stood up, stepping in close to him so their faces were only inches apart.
“I came here because I want pleasure, and I always get what I want.” She whispered, her dark eyes locked on his, her lips pulled up in a playful smirk. If he didn’t get the hint by then, she would think him completely dense.

The soldier smiled at the woman before him. His manhood was uncomfortably stiff as she took a seat on his bed. It had been some time since he had lain with a woman of this beauty, and he would savor every second of it. He took a sip from his cup, the burn of the wine warming his body.
The large soldier caressed the woman's arm, "That was all I needed to know." With those words, he brought his lips to her neck, his lips and trimmed beard brushing softly against her. His hand wandered along the curves of her supple body. Despite his large and muscular frame, he was as gentle as a light spring breeze.
He moved his lips up her neck, kissing her cheek and eventually her lips. She tasted like wine. It made his member twitch with excitement. After he kissed her, he began to slide her dress off her shoulders. "You are one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen." His voice was low and deep. Every inch of her skin that he saw, the beast inside of him screamed to escape.
He stood up and removed his chiton, his large member stiff and erect, twitching lightly as he stared deeply into her dark and alluring eyes. He gently pushed her down onto the bed and spread her legs. He smiled at her hungrily and dove face-first into her womanhood.

Somra was surprised as he suddenly leaned in and pressed his lips to her neck, but it was not unpleasantly so. She let out a small gasp of surprise, followed by a giggle as she enjoyed the feeling of his rough facial hair on her soft skin, and how gently his hand roamed over her body. Everything about him was quite intoxicating, and though she knew part of that was all the wine she had drank, she knew that another large part of it was the man himself. He was so manly, rough yet gentle. Just the way Somra liked them. She wanted a strong man, but someone that was gentle for her.
She kissed him back when his lips captured hers, offering no resistance to any of his actions, allowing him to slip her dress off her shoulders as the sheer fabric hit the floor, leaving her completely naked. She giggled at his compliment and shook her head a little, biting her bottom lip.
“And I am all yours for the night. Do with me as you please.” She said, speaking in a sultry whisper in reply to his compliment. Her eyes remained on him as he stood, removing his own clothing. For the moment that he stood there naked in front of her, she drank in the view. Light scars could be seen on his body, marking him as a seasoned warrior. A man who had fought and survived. The thought drove Somra wild and made her want him even more. She giggled a little as she was pushed back on the bed, happily going along with his rougher manner. She enjoyed it when it was done in the right way at the right time.
She was surprised at his next move, and another surprised little gasp escaped her as his face went between her legs. She relaxed back into the bed, allowing her eyes to close as she enjoyed the attention. Her hands moved down, tangling in his hair to encourage what he was doing, low moans escaping her at the pleasure that he was building. She made a mental note to make sure to lay with him as many times as she could while there, if the rest of the night went anything like the current moment was. Unless she some how found someone who was better than he was, but she couldn’t recall a time when any man had done such things to her in the past.
