He truly must be mad, to kiss her like this out here on the streets, he half expected her to slap him away and lecture him on propriety. What he got instead was the most unexpected response. Her body seemed to melt against his own, and what he'd intended to be a brief exchange lingered, tasting her lips against his on and praying to the gods in silence that this would last forever. His hopes that she might feel for him, that he might be chosen as her husband, seemed suddenly to be affirmed, and he didn't want to go back to a time before this when they could not act on their emotions.
The shawl had slipped from her head by the time they parted for breath, and he smiled broadly as he lifted the cloth back up to shield her from any spying eyes. It would certainly not do for them to be recognized now. His nose brushed against hers, the height difference between them somehow even more intensely obvious now that they were pressed to one another. She stood on the tips of her toes and he held her weight to him, closing the gap once more before her words found his ears.
A confession of love here and now was more than he could have ever hoped for, and though he wanted to consume everything she would offer him without regard for propriety and tradition, he kept his voice as steady as he could, heat in every word. "Oh my little star...I love you. I feared you would prefer someone else, find me too old." Osorsen chuckled against her lips before stealing another kiss, though it was her who snatched his breath away.
Would the dowager queen let them marry? Would the council approve of his ascension to Pharaoh? His name and title gave him a solid position, and his place as general and relationship as grandson to one of the greatest military men Egypt had seen an even stronger base. They would be able to bring peace, prosperity to the land together. With a young, beautiful queen to rule and her general at her side, they could become the stuff of legends, and his family could be saved from extinction. If they had sons one could rule after his mother, the other could take on the H'Moghadam name and lead the family. They could raise Egypt and a family together.
"When we return...meet me in the gardens tonight? I wish to see you without having to hide."

Hatshepsut adored the taste and texture of Osorsen’s lips and was elated that he didn’t pull away quickly. She wished their kiss could last forever, even if they had to stay in this alley until the end of time. The young Queen had often dreamed of being kissed by him, and the reality far surpassed the fantasy. Her entire body hummed pleasurably pressed against his own … soft curves conforming to hard angles. They fit so perfectly together that she fancied that the gods had made them expressly for each other, that they had always meant for them to be together. He was the Pharaoh that they had chosen … the man who had always been destined to rule by her side.
As soon as their lips parted, she felt deprived, at least until he smiled. Her heart skipped several beats and she knew, without a word spoken between them, that he loved her too. Hatshepsut pouted prettily as he pulled the shawl over her face again. Each innocent touch left a trail of fire in its wake and the day suddenly seemed hotter than it had been before. And brighter. The world was much brighter and more beautiful than she had ever seen it.
Hearing her words repeated in Osorsen’s deep resonant voice thrilled her nearly as much as his kiss. He had thought she would reject him because of his age? Yes, he was sixteen years her senior. He was probably beginning his military career around the time she was born. But that didn’t matter. “Silly,” the petite Queen laughed, playfully tapping the tip of his nose with one slender finger. “Age is just a number and none of my admirers ever meant a thing to me.” She grinned up at them. “How could they when I no longer have a heart? You stole it years ago and I gladly leave it in your keeping. It is exactly where I want it to be.”
He stole another kiss and she eagerly melted into it, sighing blissfully against his lips as she clung to him tightly, wishing she never had to let him go. There was no doubt in Hatshepsut’s mind that her mother would approve of their union and that the Council would too. There was no better choice for Pharaoh in all of Egypt. The two of them would bring wealth and glory to their kingdom. With Osorsen’s brilliant military mind, they might even expand their borders until they ruled the entire world. They could achieve anything as long as they were together.
His request sent flames of desire coursing through her nubile young body. Tonight. In the gardens. She would surrender herself to him completely and become one with him if that was what he wished. “Yes,” she breathed, reaching up to gently caress his cheek. “I should have no trouble sneaking away.”
Reluctantly, Hatshepsut let him go and took a step backward, taking his hand so she wouldn’t lose all physical contact between them. “Take me back to the boat, Oso. I don’t want to go back to the Souk where some enterprising individual might recognize us. Mother will put guards at my door if she even suspects I was with you today.”

The last thing that Safiya would have wanted to end up happening was that she completely missed the way another person was feeling, but she was young and could make a mistake. Often, if her mother was to be believed.
Safiya took a moment to feel her lip twitch up "Yes, well... I would have to question what I am. Though my mother has never said as much, I think she believes we are both more than capable of both" that was when she was able to pause and think about the trouble and the rest of what Nafretiri was actually saying right now "I don't know about admitting to anything. While I am sure I am, I am also very confident that I don't want anyone to know about it; at least none of the members of my family" Safiya explained and wondered if that was also something that made her seem worse in terms of her character.
Not that it was going to change her own behaviour but she had always been taught to respect those who interceded directly with the gods, whatever their origin and whomever they would address with their invocations and prayers.
It was simpler to remain on their good side. At least, more sensible.
"I will remember and if I can help as well? I would like to think I might, though... nothing is immediately obvious without presumption being involved and I really don't want to do that" even though her intentions were good, it didn't mean that she would always be successful in providing that actual end result. All she could do was hope for the best.
For a moment, she almost said nothing else, content to allow the other woman to depart "I am Saifya H'Haikaddad" providing her full name in order to make it easier for further and future reference.
