Hey everyone! Okay, I was working on individual announcements for this and working out the timings of when we might need which staffers but I've decided that actually it might be more beneficial to just launch a site-wide, mass staff search! That way people can know everything that is going to be on offer in the next few weeks and choose what they want to apply for. The below is the information I have so far for these roles and applications will be open as time goes on for each in turn. This is just an advanced notice so that members can see what's going to be on offer and have more than the open application week to decide if they might wish to apply...
Community Moderator x1
Our lovely duo, Berry and Cissi have been doing an amazing job as our Community Moderators but as our member numbers increase (I know we've dropped numbers recently after the activity check but in terms of members with in play and active characters we are actually going up) we are going to need to diversify this role. Rather than two (or even three) Community Moderators attempting to do the same job as each other, responsibilities will be being broken down and given to specific Community Moderators. No change in title, just better and more even responsibilities and less cross over confusion. As such, we are looking for a third Community Moderator to join the team. We will then be working together as a four (myself and the three Moderators), to divide up the responsibilities and work out how to ensure regular activity and engagement with our community.
Tasks that the Community Moderator (may) be responsible for are: Discussions on the Discord Server, the Secret Word game, a Fun and Games board on the site, Wanted and Canon character shout-outs, Games and Challenges like the Christmas Advent Calendar and Aeipathy Olympics, weekly check-ins with our community. Regular shout outs for any on-going events or storylines. A new feature in our Weekly Broadcast: The Gossip Corner! - giving updates on the events and plots of the IC Aeipathy world, so that people can easily keep track, ensuring that the #ask-a-question channel on the server is quickly responded to and kept clean.
Mentor x1
Whilst we do not currently have a lot of newcomers joining us, as I am not currently advertising, we are nearing the completion of our new site which means advertising is about to go a little nuts. This means more newcomers and that means more mentors will be required. And it's better that our mentors learn the process before being swamped than after.
Tasks that the Mentor will be responsible for are: Welcoming newcomers to the server and site, managing questions and mentoring newcomers through the application process, helping new characters with their first few threads to ensure they get involved, monitoring the #quiet-room on the server.
Pinterest Manager x1
Our Pinterest account is growing and developing faster than I have the time to manage it. As such, we are looking for someone with a love of Pinterest to take on the admin responsibilities of the account and be able to keep it up to date and producing inspiration for our writers.
Tasks that the Pinterest Manager will be responsible for are: maintaining an eye on the Pinterest pages of the account and making sure that images are not saved to the wrong places, and that all comments or attachments to Pins are accurate or removed, making appropriate shout outs to the server regarding joining the pinterest page as a collaborator, making sure that all new characters are given pages on our Pinterest page, welcoming newcomers to the site and offering any help needed in them in getting their Pinterest page started, hosting and handling competitions on Pinterest like our AU contest run.
Kingdom Storyteller x3 (Name Subject to Change)
An entirely new role here on Aeipathy! We are looking for some eager members who have a deep love for story telling and are able to create a large and diverse range of plot ideas for our site. Whilst this role is still very much in the development stages and will be twisting and changing as we work out the best way to execute the role, we are looking for three members who would be willing to work directly with me (JD) to keep plotting and global stories rolling. Here's the general gist: Whilst I will maintain control over the major global plots and how they interlink together across the kingdoms and realms and will continue to create Events, Stories and Quests that I think would work well, we are looking for members who would be willing to take on one kingdom solely and be responsible for all other plots, events and story developments in that kingdom. This does not mean that they will be forced to rp only within that kingdom - they can have as many characters in as many places as they like - but their responsibilities as a Storyteller will be limited to that one kingdom. Please note that this will mean being aware of all future curveballs and changing plotlines in that kingdom ahead of time. So, if you are someone that constantly likes being surprised by stories and curveballs in a particular kingdom - you do not want to be a Storyteller for that kingdom. Secondly, all Storytellers must have at least one character within that kingdom and willing to rp in as many Events as possible as they will be instrumental in maintaining the flow and speed of Events in their kingdom. Please also note that this role is new. It will be tweaked, it will be changed and the main purpose of the role is to support and aid the head admin in global plot development. So, if you are someone who likes complete autonomy or would feel like their toes are being trodden on for me to come in and run with ideas or make changes, this is probably not the role for you. At the moment, we are looking for three members to take on the Greek kingdoms. This will then allow me to focus on getting global plots moving more solidly in Africa...
Tasks that the Kingdom Storyteller (may) be responsible for are: monitoring and updating all Events within their kingdom, knowing and devising ways for the global plot line to develop within that kingdom, creating a range of different Events designed to feature as many potential characters as possible - including different types of character at their centres, maintaining complete secrecy when it comes to future curveballs and story developments, provide ads for key wanted characters to be posted on resource sites.

We're looking for someone who is incredibly detail orientated and enjoys the completionist feeling of bumping X number of ads on a daily basis. It's a quick and easy task - likely only ten minutes of your day - but must be done every single day which means this is a routine dedicated task rather than heavy workloads. We're looking for someone who has great people skills outside of the site and will be able to be an ambassador and advertiser for Aeipathy and able to spread our name far and wide. I cannot stress enough that the majority of this job will be very boring to some people, soothing and cathartic to others - so consider if this is something that would suit your temperament.
Tasks that the Advertising Moderator will be responsible for: bumping our ads on a routine and daily basis without fail, keeping track of external contests like the RPGD Member's Choice awards and which Aeipathy can enter into or be a part of, hosting advertising contests and awards.
