The breeze blowing through the room from the balcony cooled his skin as he laid beside his wife, catching his breath. Ever since they had finally fought and begun finally recovering their relationship, Zanon and Evras had spent as much time together as they possibly could. He hadn't realized exactly how much he missed her, missed them together, until they were once more reunited.
Rolling onto his side, he slid his arm around the woman beside him, pressing kisses to her shoulder and along her neck slowly. Zan tugged one of the blankets they'd tossed aside earlier over them, covering their bare bodies against the chill of the air as he chuckled, nuzzling into her hair with a hum. In spite of the time they had spent apart it felt as if there was so much sense memory between them that the longer they were together the easier things felt. It was all falling into place once more, and he was relieved as he held her close.
He slowly trailed his fingers along her waist as he propped himself up on his elbow, gazing down at her with a smile, still gathering his wits about him as they recovered. Eleven years later she was still so beautiful, perhaps more so than when they’d first met. There wasn’t even a hint of grey in her dark locks though it was starting to pepper through his own, and the few lines on her face were those of laughter. He had been blessed by the gods with such a wife, and he had made many mistakes that he needed to atone for.
”I love you.”
Simple words he hadn’t said enough in the past three years. Zanon ducked to press his lips to the space between her breasts before sighing heavily and settling himself there as he once had when they were young. Her body was soft and it seemed as if they molded together perfectly. He could be content to stay here for a very long while.

If she closed her eyes, Evras could almost imagine that she was younger, much younger, in the same position, with the same person, with very much the same feelings.
Except it was even better now. Like the sky after a prolonged thunderstorm, it was like a rock was lifted from her shoulders, the smile on her lips genuine as she lay there in bed, her chest heaving a little from exertion. Her dark locks were splayed out behind her like a crown, probably messy, definitely trussed up, but she'll deal with it when the sun rose. Now, she just relished the feel of her husband as he rolled closer to her. The woman instinctively turned to his own bare body, chuckling as she felt him covering their slightly sweat-sheened bodies with a sheet, a satisfied hum in her own throat that was punctuated with a light laugh when he drew his fingers along her waist.
Meeting his gaze as he propped himself up, her own blue-green eyes was gentle and loving. Evras reached up to trail her fingers along his smile, biting her own lip in a cheeky grin as she tried to memorize every corner and line in her husband's face. Did he look older? Perhaps alittle. But with it came wisdom, and she knew that they had both grown up plenty over the last two days.
Those three little words. How she had missed them.
As he ducked his head, she buried her fingers in his chair, a shiver frissoning under her skin when lips met sensitive skin. The very same skin that she had been pressed against his own not too long ago. Having him nestled in between her breasts was no stranger to her, as if he was a part of her she never wanted to let go. "I love you too." she murmured in return, arching her body against his, as if willing him to press more kisses against her.
"Promise me you will talk to me if you think that way again, Zan." it was a talk they needed to have, because Gods allowing, Evras never wanted such a matter to come between them again. Using her elbows, she pushed herself slightly up to peer down at him, her eyes pleading with her husband, hoping he felt the same. "I... I will tell you everything. As long as you allow me the chance to."

"I promise."
His words were muffled, spoken against her chest as he traced circles with his nose and pressed soft kisses to her skin. Breathing in deeply, he allowed the scent of her to fill him and tightened his grip as he released the air from his lungs. He had made so many mistakes, had so many things to atone for. That they were able to give one another a new chance and a fresh start was more than he had ever hoped for.
In the years just after his injury he had been afraid of everything, paranoid at what was coming for him next. He'd stayed off the field of battle as long as possible and thanked the gods for the peace they had been living in for his own selfish reasons. Peace couldn't last forever though, and one day he would be back on the field of glory. Perhaps he would live and return victorious, perhaps he would fall and those he loved would be lost to him until they too were ferried across the Styx. He couldn't live his life in fear when the woman he loved was now here in his arms, couldn't treat his family in such a manner. Couldn't continue to dally with those who meant nothing to him.
Lifting his head as she propped herself up on her elbows, he looked to her with a sigh, reaching out to brush a thumb along her cheekbone and down to her lips before taking hold of her chin. Zanon pulled himself forward to kiss her softly, letting it draw out for a long moment before he broke for breath, his eyes staying closed as he brushed his nose against hers.
"If doubts ever rise again, I swear I will speak to you first. I was miserable without you."
He'd turned to drink, to whores, to the amusements of people he had thought friends who gladly took him down along that path. In the days since he had murdered a man in his rage, he hadn't touched a drop except for the watered down wine served with dinner, and he had no desire to reach for a bottle as long as she was here. She was all the intoxication he needed.

It was funny, that all it took was two little words to unwind what felt like many knots that had formed over the years in her heart. Letting a breathe she did not know she had been holding, Evras ran her fingers tenderly through his dark hair, every touch bestowed on him soft and affectionate. For once, she did not think of their son, and it was her husband that took forefront in her mind. All the years he had estranged himself from her, Evras had turned to Dion for ease and self-protection, yet now with Zanon peppering her skin with kisses, it was easy to remember just why she had fallen in love with the charming second prince.
She tilted her head, turning towards his thumbs that caressed her until Zanon pressed forward to kiss her. He always had that affect on her, even if they had practically sent every hour in each other's arms ever since they had made up. Her arms slung instinctively around his neck as they languidly kiss, until he finally broke for breathe.
Evras gave a small smile, her eyes opening to peer at his face so close to hers, his handsome features making her heart lurch again. Pulling him closer so her breasts pressed against his chest, she pressed her lips against his nose, murmuring "And no more drinking." she stipulated with a light laugh, having noticed gladly that he had not touched much except for mealtimes ever since that fateful night.
Winding her ankles around his, the women sought his full body contact by arching her whole length against his, her lips seeking out his again, as if she could not get enough of him. Unlike Zanon, Evras had taken no lovers, had held out hope that her husband would return to her, that the love they had shared for the years was not something he was willing to toss aside so simply, that there would be an explanation to it all.
Had she already forgiven him entirely? Not yet. But they were both trying, and he had always been the one she could never say no to.
"I've missed you, love." she murmured against his lips, a tone that gave away just how much Evras craved his touch, his attention, his love, in the same way a man in a desert would crave water.

His eyes narrowed slightly at her command, and he had to resist his stubborn urge to pour himself a glass now. He was still going to avoid it unless it was heavily watered down, but he didn’t want to feel as if she was monitoring him for good behavior. It was too much like how they had been before, and he had no desire for there to be anything negative between them. Nothing that had happened before mattered now, it was just them, just their bed, just their love.
Zanon hummed softly as her legs twined with his, drawing a hand down along her thigh as he lowered himself entirely against her. They hadn’t been so close in years, and now they were finally reconnecting he couldn’t get enough of her. Though they had just barely finished and rolled away from one another he could feel the desire stirring in him once again. Gripping her leg as he drew it around his waist, Zan pressed kisses to her lips until she spoke, smiling and brushing his nose against hers again before claiming her mouth once more before responding.
”I missed you. Every part of you.”
Drawing his lips down her neck he allowed his teeth to graze along her collarbone, smirking as he worked a small love bite above her breast. She was everything, how could he have been so blind and stupid for so long. Believing she was a witch, that their son was not his. The anger he had felt when he saw her kissing another man was directed towards himself, not her. He had ignore and belittled her and the fact that she had begun to forgive him was a blessing.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and rolled them slowly so that she was laying atop him instead, grinning up at her and lifting the blanket to cover them and retain the warmth from their bodies. Everything was better when she was here, and he would never let her go again.

For a moment, Evras froze at his narrowed eyes. She recognized her husband's headstrong, stubborn nature. In fact, it was in part, due to it that drove them into the situation they had been in, and Evras had went head to head with it many times. Yet in the soft web they had managed to wind themselves in, she was reluctant to break it. Mentally cursing herself for being silly enough to risk it after the languid night and day they had spent in each other's arms, Evras relaxed when he seemed to drop the subject, making a mental note to herself to just leave matters be unless it got out of hand.
Trust. She promised she'd try. So she trusted him.
The trail of his hands along her thigh left burning embers in their wake, so sensitive she was to his every touch. A slow fire stoked at the base of her stomach, a low mewl of delight as he pressed closer to her. Their earlier tussles in bed, as if it never happened, from the way Evras reacted to his warmth so close to her. Nestled against him, with her legs wound around his waist and resting just below his bottom, on the back of his thigh, she giggled at his kisses, and flushed at his reply.
A low moan rumbled from the base of her throat at his fervant kisses against her skin, her fingers losing themselves in his hair again as he worked his magic on the skin just above her breasts. Going with him as he rolled them, Evras shifted above him, her legs now straddling his waists.
The woman grinned at him as he moved the blankets to cover them, splaying her hands on his chest as she relished his handsome features, the gentleness in the way his fingers brushed against her skin, so different from the way they were before, each designed so it would make her forget how harshly they could manhandle her. Her fingers trailed their way down his chest, a coy smile on her lips as she flickered shy looks from beneath her hooded lashes. Shifting so she nestled her heat against his, where she could feel the proof of his growing desire. The woman leaned forward, her dark locks falling to create a curtain around them as she kissed his lips, claiming them for her own, cautiously darting her tongue out to meet his, before murmuring huskily against skin, pressing her breasts against his chest again.
"I want you, husband."
If it had been broad daylight, Evras would've been shocked at her own forwardness. But everything about Zanon enhanced her, even made her bolder when she was usually the quieter of her siblings. Her lips, red in the faint moonlight that streamed through the opened balcony, was curled in a manner that she had learned from one of the times Evras had tried to seduce her husband back to her side, before she had turned bitter and given up. But this time, it held a stronger hint of confidence as she wriggled her hips against his, as if daring him to take what was his.

But this time, it held a stronger hint of confidence as she wriggled her hips against his, as if daring him to take what was his.
"So soon, wife? Did I not satisfy you enough already?"
Zanon groaned as her hands ran along him, his head falling back in mock exhaustion though a grin was firmly in place on his lips. Her curves beneath his hands were tantalizing, and he leaned up to meet her kisses just as eagerly as before, drawing his fingertips slowly up from her hips along her sides and then into her raven locks. Beneath her his hips shifted slightly, rocking up slowly against her own as he bit down gently on her lower lip and pulled back teasingly.
His eyes were dark with desire as they met her own, so pale they looked silver with the shine of the moon reflecting in. Evras looked like a goddess come down to bless him, with her ruby lips and dark hair against such pale skin it could have been carved from the finest marble. It reminded him that he ought to have a statue of her commissioned, something to immortalize the beauty of her and the gentleness of her soul. He would speak to one of the artisans in the morning, but for now with her body moving against his in such a way he wished he was a younger man Zanon had other things to focus on.
Rolling them once more, he pressed kisses down along her chest, stopping at each swell of her breasts before grinning as his teeth nipped at the softer skin of her stomach. He might need a moment more, but there was a good deal of time and effort he needed to make up for until then. His kisses ran along the white skin of her thigh before he paused, taking the time to leave a small love bite as he hadn't since they had been much younger and more wild. They'd taken no time at all then, urgency leaving little space for the intimacy that they had developed and since their reconciliation begun to grow once more.
Only after she was entirely satisfied did they once again fall back against the sheets, out of breath and spent. Zanon wasn't sure his eyes would be able to open again during the night, reaching for her blindly with mumbled words that made no sense aside from a desire to keep holding her close.
"Should we both be statues...? White marble for you, but painting...for your eyes. And hair."

"Should we both be statues...? White marble for you, but painting...for your eyes. And hair."
She laughed at his words, her smile coquettish and coy as she leaned in. "I don't think you're ever enough, Zan." Her body arched against his, eager to feel as much as she could in regards to her husband's heat, touch, allowing him to flood her senses in a way only he could. It was electricity between them - it always had been. It just depended on which way the passion ran with them, and this was the kind Evras favored the most.
Clutching his chest as he rolled them again once more, she curled her legs around his waist, holding him tightly towards her, her laughs breathy and melting into cries of pleasure as he pressed kisses down her length, all the way to her thighs. Her body tingled with the expectation of what her husband intended to do clear in his darkened gaze. Letting her thighs fall open as he worked the love bite in the area, Evras ran her hands through his dark locks, giving the occasional tug on it, before his attentions lavished on her made her twist beneath him in the delight he gave her. Evras knew then, that no one else would come close to the love she could feel for her husband.
She was spent by the time they were satisfied again, her chests rising and falling at a rapid pace from the exertions they had been through. Evras's muscles were deliciously sore, and was helpless to even lift her head as Zanon reached for her. Instead, the woman rolled towards her husband, allowing their ankles to tangle together. Her hands slipped past his waist to rest there, her lips pressing a soft kiss on his bare chest before nestling against him.
His words were mumbled, barely coherent had Evras not been so attuned to the way he spoke by now. Wearily, the woman looked up, and gave a soft chuckle at how sleepy and tired her husband looked. Holding him closer, she reached up to press a kiss on his chin. "I have no need for statues, husband. I only want you next to me." she murmured in reply, allowing his arms to wrap around her before her own eyelids shuttered to a close, content in her husband's arms.
