Once Thras was sure that there really wasn’t much that he could do in the situation, he was ready to leave. It seemed what ever military leaders had shown up had things under control, and someone had taken over taking care of the previously unconscious man. He thought it better if the crowds started to disperse, and that included himself. He was doing no one any good by being there and adding to the body count of useless individuals. He hoped that other people in the crowd would do the same. Things would calm down soon, he was sure of it. People were smart enough than to try and ruin their city by getting up in arms over something so silly, surely.
So he made sure Myrrine was good, and then he said his good byes and started to make his way through the crowds, feeling a little happy to see that a few other people were starting to do exactly that. Things would calm soon, he was feeling confident about that. He wished he could have helped more, but he was no man of the military, he held no authority, nor did he hold any combat skill that didn’t include shooting with his bow. He had at least been able to assist Myrrine and her friend in getting out of the temple safely. With his leg, he knew if the crowds got a whole lot more restless or people pushed and shoved more, he was at risk of being toppled over. And besides, it was starting to ache as is from keeping himself upright while pushing through the crowds. He was looking forward to making it home and relaxing around the fire with his wife for a bit.
He made it to his horse and away from the crowds, mounting the beast, he headed off back towards the outskirts of town where they had made their temporary camp while in the area.
