There were many a thing that Prince Tython felt about this arrangement. First, the young prince was absolutely intent to make this match work. If not for the strength and safety of Colchis and for the purpose of a connection between Colchis and Taengea, but also for his own sanity. A quiet, reserved man, Tython knew that keeping his future princess happy and sedate would go a long way in ensuring that he kept his own sanity in check. He knew only a little about the current state of the Dimitrou house, but little more about the supposedly beautiful Yanni of Dimitrou who would become his new wife.
Second, he could not show how unthrilled he was about marrying someone he did not know. Could not know, even. It was his duty and Tython would always do what was directed of him by King Silas, but he would secretly have his own reservations about the match. That was natural in any arrangement, but Tython had some hope that the young lady would carry with her some sense of maturity. Some sense of calm in the face of what would likely be a stressful life otherwise.
Because Tython would one day return to war and leave her behind. And one day he wouldn't come back. Still, he was young and spry, and the idea of him falling on the battlefield was a daydream saved for his older years. He was only twenty and he had no intention of falling now, if ever. Mature and circumspect, Prince Tython still had illusions of grandeur even now. He would live forever if he could, and he would never think it impossible.
On this early Karneios morning, the young prince was set to meet his betrothed. Admittedly, he had long been dressed for the occasion and had eaten only a little to keep his silent anxiety from twisting his stomach into knots. Usually, he would have stopped at the training fields and gone through his training regimen, but today was not a day to find himself exhausted or dirty. Instead, he stood almost awkwardly in one of the windows of the Kotas manor, gazing down the dirt path where he knew Lady Dimitrou's carriage would enter from. Resting his forehead against cold stone, he ignored the shuffling of servants behind him in the hall as they prepared the meeting and dining chambers.
Only the feeling of Queen Kaiti's hand on his shoulder drew him from his thoughts. Lifting his head from the stone, Tython turned toward his mother. She immediately started to fuss with his hair and then his chiton, "Do not look so pensive, Ty," she instructed him carefully, straightening his himation to her exact specifications. "This will be a good match or both you and for Colchis."
Smiling a little boyishly, he took his mother's arm in his own, straightening up and starting to guide her toward the entrance of the manor. Somewhere outside, one of the servants was giving the signal of a carriage approaching. That did not make either of them walk faster, but Tython did feel himself tense a little. Queen Kaiti tugged on his ear in retaliation and silent warning to relax. He forced himself to, "What if she's just vapid and senseless?" he asked almost stubbornly.
The lilting laugh that left his mother's mouth had him glancing in her direction, almost embarrassed for letting the words come out of his mouth in the first place. The woman was shaking her head just slightly, "I'm sure your father thought the same of me when we first met. Give her the benefit of the doubt and behave, Tython," the queen hummed, the two of them pausing in the foyer of the manor to meet the King and Princess Tythra. Tython breathed though his nose and nodded, being the first one to step out of the manor and onto the steps to greet the arriving carriage.
Prince Tython and Princess Tythra stood side by side one another, Queen Kaiti and King Silas standing together a few steps higher. Tython let his gaze fixate on the carriage, his expression impassive and telling nothing of his own feelings in that moment. This was a match that would benefit the Kingdom and that was his highest priority as the crown prince. That was what he kept telling himself, holding his breath while he waited for Lady Yanni of Kotas to step from the carriage and meet her future family. This had to go well. It absolutely had to.

That was what he kept telling himself, holding his breath while he waited for Lady Yanni of Kotas to step from the carriage and meet her future family. This had to go well. It absolutely had to.
Yanni was nervous, though it did not show on the young woman’s face. She was on the last bit of her journey, on her way to meet her future husband, the man who would one day be King of Colchis, and who would one day rely on her as his Queen. She had never met him before, had no idea what he was like, or how he looked. None of that mattered though. Yanni had a duty, and that duty was to marry this man, and provide him with heirs. Whether she liked him or not, this would be her life and she had accepted that awhile ago.
It wouldn’t have mattered had she argued, it was happening whether she liked it or not, so she didn’t see a point in making herself miserable over the whole thing. She thought it better to keep her chin up and hope for the best with this man.
She had been sort of dreading this day for awhile, but yet she was dressed in a beautiful emerald green gown to accent the forested lands she came from, a few small pieces of jewellery adorned her, and her brown hair was up in an intricate design atop her head, golden chains laced through it. She had always been told she was beautiful, she just hoped that her future husband thought so too.
Her mouth felt dry as the carriage approached the Kotas household, and she felt a little sick to her stomach with nerves. She was alone, aside from a minimal serving staff and a couple guards, she had no family or friends with her. She took a deep breath as the carriage came to the stop and she heard her carriage driver shuffling around, getting ready to open the door for her to step out.
She braced herself, steeling her nerves for what ever was about to happen.
The carriage door opened, and Yanni forced a small smile on her face, moving to climb carefully out of the carriage with some help from her driver. As her eyes adjusted to the sun, the first thing she saw was who she presumed was her future husband. Her breath caught for a moment and she forgot herself as she saw how absolutely handsome he was. She felt her heart speed up a little bit at the sight of him.
‘Well, at least he’s attractive.’ she told herself as she realized she needed to step forward and present herself properly before she was presumed to be rude. She did just that, closing the distance but still leaving appropriate distance between herself and the royal family.
“Your Majesties, your Highnesses.” She greeted, giving each of them a deep curtsy to show proper respect.
“Yanni of Dimitrou, a pleasure to meet all of you, truly.” She said, speaking to all of them, though she couldn’t help as her gaze wandered momentarily back to Tython. She still felt nervous, though she felt a little better knowing at least he was not ugly, it would be much harder to make herself lay with him once they were married if he had not been attractive.
She had to admit she was not exactly looking forward to living in these lands. She was used to rolling hills and beautiful forests, being surrounded by the calming affects of nature and the creatures who called it home. Here? It was hard stone, bland and boring and not comforting at all.

The prince had, as was expected of him, expected that his future bride would be beautiful. That much had crossed his mind. Not to mention, he had heard rumors about his future betrothed that had crossed Kingdom borders and made it to his own ears. What Tython had not expected, however, was for Yanni to be as beautiful as she was. That, in and of itself, was almost a worse shock than finding out he was to be married in the first place.
The very human part of him wanted to tense and to let his gaze rake over every part of her, but he kept his expression impassive and his back straight, not letting his muscles tighten in his back. Though, his stomach knotted tightly at the sheer excitement of the prospect of even touching a woman of this caliber. Tython had never been one to put his hands on the other ladies of court and had instead taken care of his needs with discretion and with women who were neither notable nor memorable. This woman, however, was his.
There was something exciting in that, and his previous worries about her being vapid and senseless were entirely forgotten. It would be okay if she was, he supposed. Her family was a good match to his own and it would only strengthen the bond between Colchis and Taengea. A tentative bond. One that would be for the good of both Kingdoms to keep the peace.
Princess Tythra was silent beside him, but he could almost hear his sister's thoughts. Something along the lines of 'don't screw this up', he was sure. Letting his gaze trail away from his own sister, Tython started down the steps slowly in order to close the distance between his future bride and himself. The King and Queen voiced their own greetings, but they were more concerned about Tython's greeting to Lady Yanni than anything else. Each step was slow and measured, his shoulders kept back and his posture tall.
He was a man that was extraordinarily tall. An anomoly among a people who were generally of shorter stature. It made him intimidating, though the calm, careful smile that had settled on his features seemed to soften the feeling of dread that he gave some people, mostly the soldiers who did not know him well.
Reaching out, Tython carefully took Yanni's hand, bowing to her in a manner that was proper to both his and her new station, and then brought the back of her hand to his lips. "Prince Tython of Kotas," he said delicately, lifting himself back to his normal height but not letting go of her hand. With the rest of the family seemingly able to tell that things were going to go well here, they started their way back up the steps, the Queen instructing that the servants set the table for luncheon.
Left primarily alone save for her own servants, Tython glanced around them for just a moment as if gauging how much privacy they had. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Lady Yanni," he said politely, "I expect that your journey was not a hard one?"

Yanni had heard that her future husband was a handsome man, and upon seeing him it was confirmed that he indeed was. Breath taking actually. But she hadn’t realized that he would be so tall. Compared to Yanni, he seemed like a giant. When introductions were over and his family retreated inside, they were left with just her own staff.
Yanni had never been with anyone in a romantic way, had never been kissed or anything further than that, so she had no real idea of what to expect when that time came, but his touch sent a shock of warmth through her and she had to fight to keep her composure, which was a strange thing for her. She was normally put together, but today she had butterflies and a tingling feeling where his lips had touched the back of her hand, and she wasn’t quite able to sort out her thoughts.
She looked at her own staff before speaking to them.
“Go and find yourselves a use in the house.” She commanded, and the staff hurried to do exactly that, leaving the two of them standing there alone. She figured that they ought to at least get to know each other a little before they were to be married, considering they would be expected to remain married for the rest of their lives, and she would be expected to provide him with children.
“The trip was as expected.” She said, which was true. It was long, and she was hungry and thirsty and tired, and frankly the last thing she wanted to do at the moment was spend time in the company of anyone else, but the choice was not hers. She hoped that she at least looked presentable after her journey.
“Perhaps a walk? You can show me around the grounds?” She offered. She didn’t like the lack of trees in Colchis, her father’s land was surrounded by lush forests and plenty of wild animals, and Colchis seemed to be nothing but stone and rocks. She had heard such things, but hadn’t thought it would feel this... depressing. If she was being honest, she was not looking forward to moving to this place. But it was her duty, and she would see it through.
She just hoped that he was at least a kind man. She knew very little about him, and what she did know had come from gossip around the court, so it was very little. She had no idea what he knew of her either, or what he thought of her upon seeing her. His gaze didn’t seem to give away any of his thoughts. Perhaps he didn’t think she was good looking, or perhaps their marriage would be rocky and he would spend most of his time gallivanting with other women.
Yanni had no idea what to expect in this marriage, but she was going to take what ever came her way and she would take it with grace as a future Colchian. Yanni knew what her duties were, and she would fulfill them, whether the marriage was a loving one or not.

She was breathtakingly beautiful, really, and for a moment, he did struggle to put his thoughts together in a coherent way. His parents, in this moment, were utter magic when it came to picking a wife for him. A wife that would secure further security for both Taengea and Colchis, as a connection between the two Kingdoms would only make them that much stronger in the long run. Having a Taengean queen upon the Colchian throne would bode well for Taengea. Having a competent woman upon the Colchian throne would serve Tython well. He was a man of war, and he was often gone, but he wondered if she knew and understood that just yet.
Tython wondered whether she knew that she would be ruling Colchis in his stead whenever war and conflict called him from home. Would she be up to the task? Would she handle it with the grace that she appeared to hold herself with now? He surely hoped so. Nothing good would come of it if she could not. If he were to return from war some years after his parents passed and found his Kingdom in shambles. That was one of his many worries about not picking his own queen, though if his parents had chosen this young lady, it was likely for a good reason.
A reason he would likely see rather quickly now that she was here. Her order to her servants had him straightening a little further at the tone she took with them. Strong and unwilling to deal with them lingering. A single eyebrow lifted slowly as Tython observed Yanni, taking her in for a second time, her hand still in his. It was the question that had him standing now at his full height instead of stooping more toward her own.
"A walk sounds pleasing," Tython said in a smooth tone, his stormy gaze trailing off to the side of the manor, toward the gardens that were his mother's favorite. "I'm sure that Colchis just appears like a bunch of rocks and dirt," he said after a moment, wondering why he felt so sheepish in her presence. "But there is beauty to be found in it," he said a little quieter, now wondering why it was that he seemed to be vying for her approval of his Kingdom. Because she would spend the rest of her life here, that was why. "Perhaps we will start with the gardens," Tython finally murmured, taking her hand and shifting his body so that he stood beside her instead of before her. He placed her hand on his arm so that she could hold to him as they walked together.
Young Tython had no illusions that this marriage would be anything but cordial. They would produce heirs and he would fight wars while she sat upon the throne. That was usually how things worked for the Kotas family, and it was unlikely to cease even once their children were born.
Carefully leading her up the steps and to the level of the main terrace, where the Kotas palace stood tall, proud, and utterly massive. The beauty of it, carved into the mountain itself, could rival even Taengea's architecture. Tython found himself observing it for a moment, as he always did when he returned to his home, before leading her around the side. "Tell me, Lady Yanni," he said softly, trying to think of a topic to start off with, "Do you have snow in Taengea?"

"Tell me, Lady Yanni," he said softly, trying to think of a topic to start off with, "Do you have snow in Taengea?"
Yanni was doing her best not to get caught up in his looks. He was a handsome man, and so tall, and definitely someone that would have caught her eye under normal circumstances. But these were not normal circumstances, she was to marry this man. At least for now, her father had arranged the marriage, and now it was her job to make sure that she did not give him or his family a reason to call it off. She needed to be the future Queen that they had thought her to be.
The pressure felt crushing, but she was determined to face it. Yanni would not let her father down.
She swallowed a little heavily as he took her hand and instead put it on his arm, and she tried to ignore the fact that she could feel his muscles beneath her touch and try to focus on his words. He was right in his assumption that all she had seen of Colchis was rocks and stone, an unpleasant sight compared to the lush forests she was used to. She yearned to be back home, to be once more with the wild around her. But she knew that she would need to get used to it. This would be her home, and visits back to her home would be few and far between from the moment she was claimed as his bride.
She followed beside him as best as she could, her smaller stature making it so she had to take more steps than he did in order to keep up, but she did not let it throw her off as they headed for the gardens.
“Yes we do, in some areas more than others.” She replied as he asked about snow, she wasn’t sure why he asked. Perhaps he would say something about the snow looking gorgeous upon the Colchian stones or something of the sort. She was sure Colchis would have it’s charms, and she would grow to love it was she loved Taengea.
“You really have a beautiful home here, Your Highness.” She said, and she meant it. The way the manor was carved into the mountain itself really was awe-inspiring. She was how ever looking forward to seeing these gardens he spoke of, perhaps they would bring a little bit of what she loved about her home back to her.
“Where is your very favourite place in Colchis?” She asked, curious if he would give her a genuine answer or if he would spout something about all of Colchis being his favourite. She could think of the exact spot back in Taengea that was her favourite spot, could picture it perfectly and if she concentrated hard enough she was sure she could hear the sounds and smell the scents of her little piece of serenity.
She wondered what the two of them might have in common, what she might be able to bring up as conversation. She doubted there was much, the two of them were different she suspected, and the match had not been made between the two of them because of compatibility. She just hoped there was enough there to at least sort of build a marriage based on a good relationship.

The young prince had been with a woman before. A few, even. But he hadn't been with a noblewoman. And he very rarely had courted any of them within his grasp. Admittedly, Tython had been content to allow his parents to arrange his match, if only because they had far more connections and an intention for his future as King. They would do their hardest searching for the perfect match. The lush greenery to his hard stone exterior. That was exactly what Lady Yanni was, and she did not seem intimidated or afraid to have a conversation with him right off the start.
Was it awkward? Maybe a little. But at least they would be able to speak together. Tython was not some mythical beast looking for a Queen that would sit prettily and say nothing. Colchis needed a queen that would take action. Take the first steps. For because the Kotas were a family steeped in war, it meant that the queen herself was the ruling monarch in his stead. Not just a figurehead, but a participant that had a hand in every facet of the political sphere within Midas and beyond.
When the prince noted that Yanni had to take longer strides, he slowed his steps a bit to match her gait, not wanting to tire her just because he walked far too fast for a normal human being. He was taller than most people, admittedly, he was the tallest person he had ever met, standing at a massive height that made the men around him appear almost ant-like in comparison. "At least it will not come as a shock to you, my lady," the prince said lightly, glancing toward her when she complimented his home. "Thank you. It is far warmer than it appears carved into stone," the man said in a quiet lilt that left him appearing more resigned than boisterous. He did not like to raise his voice if he did not have to.
The question of the princess-to-be, about his favorite place in Colchis, had him pausing. The young man even paused in his walking to search Lady Yanni's face for something, anything really, that would give him a hint as to what she was thinking. Did he have a favorite place? He wasn't entirely sure, actually. Well, he did have some places that he enjoyed, but he had never considered them his true favorites. Having to think about it now, he thought of the province of Elimea and that sparked something in his chest. "There is a province in Colchis. Elimea. It was a silver mining town for the longest time, but they discovered that hot springs were their more favorable draw. It is quiet there. Relaxing," Tython admitted carefully, "Perhaps one day, I shall take you so you may experience the natural hot springs for yourself. I find my peace there from time to time," he added with a shrug.
Not wanting to seem dull or boring, Tython worked on thinking up another question for his bride-to-be. "What animals do you favor, Lady Yanni? Do you have want of any to house within the manor?" he asked. If she wanted a puppy, he would find her a puppy. A kitten? He would find her the cutest one. If it would bring her a bit of happiness in this new environment, he was pleased to perform such a task for her.

Yanni preferred to remain blind to any women that her future husband may have been with, it was none of her business and she would happily go her whole life without knowing. She wasn’t dumb, she knew that men had their urges and at his age had definitely fulfilled them, but that did not mean that she wanted to know about it. She was happy being blissfully ignorant about the topic.
She couldn’t help the smile that came across her face, a genuine smile and not just one of politeness, as she noticed him slow down just a bit so she would not have to take as long of strides. Okay, so handsome and kind were what she knew of him so far. Or at least in the moment he was. She wasn’t sure many other men would have noticed such a thing and slowed to match her a little better. It was definitely a bonus in her mind.
“I can not wait to see inside.” She said politely. The stone was beautiful, but she already missed being surrounded by the lush forests of her home, the scent of the wood smoke wafting from the house and the barks of her brothers stupid dog who loved to go hunting with him.
She was surprised as he stopped and looked at her, as if he would find the answer of his favourite place in her eyes. She hadn’t realized that it was a question that required much thought. For her she knew what her place was, she thought of it often, and in stressful situations, she would often picture herself there to keep her calm.
She listened as her future husband told her of his favourite place, and she had to admit the hot springs did sound like a nice place. Perhaps she could find a new happy place, some where here in Colchis.
“I would love to go and see the place that could capture the attention of a Prince of Colchis.” She stated, giving him a soft smile.
Reality hit her again as Tython asked if she preferred any animals that he could get for her when they lived together. Which they would be soon, as husband and wife. She felt a sort of knot in her stomach, but she didn’t let it show.
“I’ve never really thought about it. I myself have never had a pet. My older brother has this dog, Black Dog. They go hunting together all the time.” She said, smiling fondly at the memory. She had never considered owning a pet herself.
“I do love animals, but perhaps for the moment at least we should forgo owning them.” She said. She would already have enough to adjust to moving here and marrying this man and everything else, she didn’t want to try to have to care for an animal, to train it and what ever else animals needed. Perhaps later down the line, though with any luck, they would have children to deal with soon enough. Which was also strange to think about.

The slight stuttering in his chest at the beauty of this woman was utterly enthralling. It was amazing that something so little as him pausing to wait for her to catch up, and then him keeping his pace at her own would bring such a smile to Lady Yanni's features. He noted the brightness of her features and he couldn't help but stare for a moment. This was the beauty of the Taengean wood? The one who had lived, likely hidden away, in a forest? She was more beautiful than any tree, but she seemed like she was made for the stone. The warmth of Taengea brought to Colchis where she would belong for the remainder of her life.
Tython was not a poetic man. He studied them, he listened well, but his mind spoke more eloquently than his own lips and he was sure that he would never be able to express his thoughts about his soon-to-be wife aloud. He was not a scholar. He was a politician. A soldier. A prince. Tython had never had the time to practice verbal arts in the way that his mind wanted to produce them.
Smiling a little, shy now, the prince looked ahead of them, turning the two of them so that they could look properly upon the Kotas manor. "It is not as drab as it appears from here. Queen Kaiti keeps the manor brightly furnished. The solar rooms are a particularly perfect spot if you are seeking the warmth of the sun," Tython suggested lightly, reaching his other hand over to place over top of hers on his arm. "I hope that you might spend some time getting to know the halls and the people before we marry. It will delight the staff to see someone other than the four of us," meaning himself, his sister, and his parents.
"We could go inside if you wish?" he offered quietly, still looking up at the manor while Yanni spoke. He tried to picture her among the stone walls, brilliant and shining. He could, and he was not displeased with the image. Her second comment had him smiling, "Perhaps we can get away after the wedding," he murmured, "The people of the provinces shall want a glimpse of their new princess," Tython continued, more talkative than he really had been with anyone, save for his sister. Handsome and charismatic, the prince still had never truly attempted to use his charm on any lady of the court. Perhaps that was why his parents had made their choice in Lady Yanni.
"There is at least one cat in the manor. My mother adores the little creatures," he finally said as they started back toward the steps of the Kotas manor. "He's black-furred and she named him Eros," he mused, a smirk on his features. "Despite the creature having no love for anyone but her," he added, giving a very slight shrug of his shoulders. The large doors of the manor were pulled open by the guards, allowing the prince and his betrothed to enter the manor.
True to his word, the entryway was warm and decorated in bright colors that contrasted the darkness of the stone. The winter sun glittered in through from a few of the other rooms, making the manor brighter than one would have generally imagined. "I'd like you to lead," Tython said slowly, "Let your feet take us where they will."

If Yanni could have heard the thoughts that her future husband was having at the sight of her smile, she would have had a bright red blush on her face. Lucky for the future Queen, she could save a little bit of poise by not knowing how taken Tython was with her looks. Yanni had never thought of herself as overly beautiful, she knew she wasn’t ugly but she didn’t have delusions of thinking she was some enchanting woman that men came to see from all over the place. But she was glad that at least Tython seemed to find her pleasing enough that he hadn’t been repulsed completely.
She turned with him as he turned to face the manor that would be her future home. She didn’t doubt that the place was nice, it looked impressive from the outside. Her family wasn’t poor by any means, but between her father and her brothers, the place hadn’t had much for decoration or rooms that weren’t of use. Her father was a practical man, and as such, his children had learned to be much the same. Yanni wasn’t one who cared much for things that weren’t necessary.
“I look forward to learning all there is to know about the Kotas manor, Your Highness.” She said with a soft smile. She had done her research on his family and the history of Colchis, and she fully planned on taking some time to familiarize herself with the house and those that kept it. It was important for her to do so, as she would be taking over the duties of the woman of the house some day. Not to mention, she would be expected to help her future mother in law around the house as well.
“That sounds like a fantastic idea.” She agreed when he suggested they go inside. She wasn’t sure she was ready to take her first steps into the manor just yet, but she wasn’t about to tell him no. She was nervous, more nervous than she had been up until this point. She knew it was silly, but it felt as if her first step into that house would seal her fate and her future. There was no turning back once she was inside.
“If there is time, I would love a full tour of Colchis.” She agreed. She wasn’t sure either of them would have time for that. Tython was a busy man, that was for sure. And on top of that, the expectation would be that she would begin to provide him with children as soon as possible once they were married, and once tied down with child, she would not be doing much travelling.
She gave a small laugh as he told her of his mothers cat. She was never really a fan of the little animals, but she didn’t hate them or anything. She just didn’t care about them. She had liked her brothers dog, but the animal had been bonded to him and as such, it had spent it’s time with Gavriil.
Yanni was surprised as the other told her to lead. Where was she supposed to go? She didn’t know the manor yet, and she didn’t want to be wandering around aimlessly and go some where that she shouldn’t be. But she wasn’t about to tell him no.
She started forward, heading down a hallway without a clue where she was going. Her steps were slow, and her dark eyes were taking in everything she could, remembering their path so she wouldn’t get lost or something.
She tried to keep herself calm, a little worried he would think her dumb or something if she ended up some where ridiculous.
She reached forward and opened a door that she hoped was not going to be a bad idea. The door swung open to reveal a sort of office. She looked back at Tython, wondering if she had chosen incorrectly. She did not yet step into the room, worried it was some where she should not be in.

There was no way to be repulsed from a woman who was so stunningly beautiful to him. It was a rarity for him to be taken by anyone, but his future wife? This was a miracle in and of itself and Tython would run with it. It was pleasing to him that her temperament was also pleasing. He expected a shy woman, unable to say what she wanted, when she wanted. However, the impression that Tython got from her was that she was very willing and very able to speak her mind. For a woman that would eventually run Colchis on her own for long stretches of time? This was invaluable to Tython, and he was already thinking that this first meeting was a resounding success.
He didn't have much else to say as they walked together, him allowing his new bride to pick where she wanted to go within the manor. This was an easy way to learn where things were, and he was pleased to accompany her about the manor, and then likely to Midas once the day grew later. There was something about walking through Midas in the darker parts of the day that made it feel much warmer than it actually was. A city of stone and fire, the warm shadows brought on by lit torches along the city paths were not something that he wanted his new wife to miss.
Yanni picked an office space at first, opening the door and looking inside like she was afraid she'd picked the wrong room to explore. This was Tython's own office, for now. He did much of his work in there, along with planning some of his military and provincial duties. Smiling, Tython motioned his young betrothed into the room. "I'm sure you'll become really familiar with this room. Its my office. Its likely the first place you should look for me if you ever need me and I haven't announced that I've left the homestead," he said warmly, looking about.
There was a desk and a few comfortable lounges. Enough room for her to sit in here with him if it pleased her to do so. He hoped that he wouldn't be entirely boring and that she might actually want to just be in his presence from time to time. Add in that the walls and the shelves were lined with rolled papyrus and books... and it made it a comfortable space to settle whenever the need for quiet was strong. "You may explore more of it, if you'd like. I have nothing to hide from you," the prince said calmly, a smile on his features.

Yanni had no idea what Tython thought of her, he was hard to read. She hoped that she was making a good impression on him, a lot relied on making sure he would agree to the marriage. She knew the match was chosen by their parents, but she figured he had some sort of sway on whether or not they were married. If he was not happy with her, he could probably convince his parents to find him another match. There were likely plenty of noble ladies in Greece who would love a shot at marrying the Prince, especially when he looked the way he did. Royal title, striking good looks and charm, he was any Noble woman’s dream husband.
She had to make sure that he was happy with her, that he wanted to marry her.
Yanni stepped into the room as she was beckoned in there, it seemed to be an okay choice. At least there was no one in there that was staring at her like she had offended them, and Tython had motioned for her to go in.
She looked around curiously as she stepped in and he spoke. It was his office? Well, this had actually been a great choice. His personal office was a great way to learn more about him. It would be decorated to his taste, and the books and papers in there would be his as well.
She looked back at him as he said that she could explore the office if she wanted, giving him a bit of a smile as she headed for the shelves. She ran her fingers over some of the books, reading titles and taking note of his interests. She took her time and really took in the room, making guesses on his personality based on what she found in here.
When she was satisfied with her observations, at least for the moment, she turned back to look at him.
“Were you worried at all? When you had heard that you would be marrying a woman you had never met?” She asked curiously. Surely he had to have been at least slightly nervous about it all. Committing your life to a person you had never met, vowing marriage and making an unspoken deal to lay together and have children, it was not a thing to take lightly. Though she supposed for men it was different. Where as she was expected fully to be committed, if he were to take any outside lovers, it would not be nearly the scandal it would if she chose to seek companionship outside of their marriage.
She hoped to provide him with a marriage good enough that he wouldn’t feel the need to stray.
Yanni merely wanted to know if he had been as nervous as her, there was comfort in the idea that they both felt the same about this whole arrangement.
