Athanasia allowed Imeeya to drag her to the dance floor even as her mind was still on what Silanos had done, not even sure what to make of the kiss at all. Was it a distraction? Did he mean it? Did she even like it? At the thought of dancing, she tried to distract herself even as her mind wandered. What would she do now? When Imeeya ran off to pull Lord Lazaros to the dance floor with them, Athanasia gave him a smile in greeting as they moved with the music. The music was flowing around them almost like a breeze, gentle but strong as the people danced around like leaves caught in its currant.
She was glad for the distraction even as she just wanted to go home and hide in her room from all the thoughts that had filled her mind. Swaying to the rhythem as her mind, wondering things that she probably shouldn't. What did Silanos mean when he said that if she talked to him, he would die? Should she avoid him from now on? As her mind drifted into where she didn't want it to go, her brother came out of no where, saving her yet again even as she jumped alittle in surprise at the heavy hand on her shoulder. In a quiet voice that only Vangelis would hear, Asia whispered her agreement, "I agree, brother. Tonight has been.. too much."
She didn't elaborate, but she did look over at Imeeya and Lazaros, giving them each a small curtsie in thanks. "Thank you for the dance, and thank you for the evening. Have a good evening Lord Lazaros, cousin." With a small smile that she hoped hid her tiredness as well as conveyed her greatfulness, Asia left with her brother and nephew. Moving quickly through the crowd, careful not to bump into the random dancer that swung by them. When they found Zanon and Evras, Asia hid in the furthest corner of the carraige when they got there, looking forward to home and her room.

When the two Eliades boys had come to invite Dion on a game of catch, Nike was hard pressed to deny the young prince. Growing up with no one else his age in the royal mansion, the young prince's pleading eyes had the Commander nodding in allowance, after a cautioning word for him to not wander far, and always check if his family was within distance, before he left running after the two Eliades twins. With her young charge away from her, the commander's eyes roamed again, falling upon the figure of Athanasia as she was dragged on to the dance floor by the Lady Imeeya.
Nike smiled, fading into the shadows to watch the two as the music turned boisterous while the night turned deeper. Ever watchful as she was trained to, she did not join the celebrations - she simply was not one who felt the need to. Her feet tapped to the music, a small, rare smile played on her lips. She was of Taengean birth after all, and festivals and music had been a large part of her life. Nike remembered a faint memory of watching her parents enjoying one of the Dionysus festivals as a child, sitting with her nursemaid while they danced, a memory of a life she could've had, had her father not turned to the greatest vice in mankind.
But her life growing up in the military had disabused her of any notion that fun was something one had. Duty and responsibility came first, and for the night, Nike was on duty.
Instinctively, her eyes left Athanasia and Imeeya once Lazaros joined them, and instead sought out her charge and general. Her chest simultaneously tightened and loosened once she found his figure in the crowd, emerging from what she knew was his usual task of checking with the stalls and vendors of Midas - Nike was proud of her best friend, and she knew without a doubt that he would make a fine King some day. She'd support him every step of the way.
Until the day she could no longer play that role for him. Until the day when someone else fit that role better then she did, anyway.
As she noticed him calling Asia to his side, and the princess moving, the Commander too, knew that it was her turn. With a side step to avoid her sword from hitting anyone, Nike weaved through the crowds, getting to the side of the royal family just as Dion and the Eliades twins came to a crashing halt in front of them. The woman hid a chuckle at the stricken look of both twins - she had never been able to tell who is who when they were side by side - and stepped dutifully back as Vangelis herded the rest of his family back through the crowds. With a wave of her hand, the men she had left in charge of guarding the carriage, brought the vehicle with the royal crest emblazoned on its side forward, assisting each member of the royal family upon it.
Once she had ensured all of them were on, along with the other carriage that carried the princess Evras and her husband, Nike's quick wrist flick had all her men in place, both astride and on foot. Taking her place at the rear of the troop, the carriages rumbled to a move back to the royal mansion of the Kotas family, bringing an end to their night of celebrations.

The commander was almost done eating the fish he bought from the vendor was seemed to be content with just standing there off to the side. He of course was still keeping his eye out for anything that might look off but so far everything seemed find. He was leaned up against a wall, his leg's crossed at the ankles as he stood. This was about as relaxed as you would ever find the Vlahakis heir. Lazaros was not one to let his guard down and on days like this with all the commotion, he was doing his best to look at least like he was enjoying himself, even if just slightly.
As Lazaros was looking over the crowds, he didn't notice when Lady Emeeya walked over towards him. Just as he was putting the last of his snack in his mouth, the young blond woman walked up to him, greeting him. Malaka he said to himself as she walked up. He chewed and swallowed the food quickly, coughing as he spoke too soon before he was able. "Apologies M'Lady Imeeya. Lazaros then realized what she had just asked him. Dance? Oh gods. The commander had always been one with two left feet as they say. He never really participated when it came to dances and the like but here he was, standing with Lady Imeeya and unsure he could turn her down. This was a day of celebration and he didn't want to say no.
"I.. Uh.. Sure. Lead the way." His voice caught in that moment. He may be a commander in the Colchian military but when it came to women, he was not the most well versed. It was even worse when it came to Lady's of Imeeya's stature. He could guard them all day and protect them with his life but when it came to being social and in this case, dancing, Lazaros was not the best.
Lazaros waited for her to lead him out to where all the dancing was going but made sure to let her know what she was getting into. "Be kind, I am not good at this." He gave her a warm smile and soft eyes that pleaded for her kindness. Imeeya didn't seem like the type to torture him for fun, however, he had been wrong before. He only hoped she would have mercy on him. Once he was out on the dance floor, Athanasia was there as well. However, her mood seemed to be different than the last time he had seen her. This made him curious but pushed the thought aside as he didn't want to step all over the girl's feet.
After a while of dancing and stepping on many toes, Lazaros saw the prince approaching them. He laid his hand on his sisters shoulder and mentioned calling an end to the evening. The colchian commander was both happy and sad with the end of the dancing. He was enjoying spending time with them but at the same time he was done with the dancing bit.
"It would be my honor." With that he offered his arm to Lady Imeeya. A lot had gone on so far during the celebration and it seemed to have finally taken its toll on the siblings and even Lazaros as he stood there with Imeeya.

Imeeya couldn’t help but notice that Lazaros had choked down his food quickly after she asked him to dance. She had hoped that it showed his eagerness to join in the festivities, but she was less certain when his acceptance of the invitation was much more hesitant. Nevertheless, she smiled at him encouragingly, trying to help him feel at ease. All of her upbringing had prepared her for the role of gracious hostess. She had to exude an air of confidence in a situation like this. It was what was expected of her.
When Lazaros admitted that he wasn’t that good at dancing, Imeeya smiled graciously. “Don’t worry, it’s easier than it looks,” she said, trying to put him at ease. Unfortunately for Imeeya’s toes, that wasn’t the case for the commander. Imeeya endured a few songs worth of awkward movements, making no comment and trying to hide her winces as his larger feet stepped on delicate toes. Still, he seemed to be doing as well as any military officer who had not spent much time in society might. ”It’s step right, then step backwards.” Imeeya corrected gently after her toes were stepped on yet another time.
Yet, as she said that, the song wound down to a close, and she pulled away from Lazaros, to find that she had been joined by Asia, who seemed to have grown more withdrawn while she had been dancing. Imeeya wondered whether or not she was regretting her earlier actions, as she should. Imeeya did not have long to ponder these thoughts before Vangelis approached to tell Asia and her that it was time to head home. As much as Imeeya agreed that it was probably time for Asia to leave the festivities, she bristled a bit that Vangelis seemed to think that he was in charge of what she did with the rest of her evening. Still, it was a consolation that Lord Lazaros had agreed to walk her home. She took the arm that Lazaros had offered to her with a gracious smile, as they began to walk away toward her house. It wasn’t until they were heading away from the main square that she realized her own reaction. Since when was it a benefit that she’d get to spend more time with Lord Lazaros? Still, that was something to think about later, when she didn’t have to worry about entertaining the commander.
