Men were Mafdet’s favorite delicacy, she would nickname herself ‘Mafdet the Maneater’, if it would provide her a positive outlook. She may already be called a maneater among men, because it was no secret that Mafdet worked Pleasure Houses. Currently, she is still employed by her lover, Atenotep, and truthfully, she has grown bored with the lifestyle of Cairo. Atenotep promised a great many things to the Mansan woman, but to no avail had he done what he promised. Mafdet was not surprised by Atenotep’s failure to bring her all the riches in the word, because long ago she learned that men were nothing but empty promises. Atenotep was an opportunity for Mafdet to leave Mansa and to start a new in Cairo, which happened to be a city of the rich and the wealthy. At least in Cairo Mafdet has a greater chance to become wealthier than she had as a whore of Mansan Pleasure Houses.
Mafdet is not a naïve woman, she was a strategist who paid attention to the cards that she was dealt and soon the game will be over. Very soon, Mafdet will have outgrown her comforts with Atenotep and will make her own moves towards ascension. Atenotep was simply a steppingstone for the woman and in her perspective the usefulness of men is to acquire wealth – love, children, and marriage is not her priority. Although, making a man have the thought of love has been a useful tactic for Mafdet.
Hesiodos was no exception the treatment Mafdet gave, because it was her specialty to make a man feel special. When you make a man feel like a King, he will feel invincible and often he would treat his women like Queens; additionally, with her experience in Pleasure Houses that involved jewels, clothing, and more riches.
Mafdet did not advance Hesiodos because of the possible monetary value, but it was the skills he possessed that provided some use to her. Courtesy to her lover, Atenotep, Mafdet has developed business in Cairo and has made a name for herself as the Shita of Mansa. Contraband and sex are a very lucrative forms of business, though some clients have asked for contracts on people’s lives. Mafdet was not a stranger to death and in Mansa if someone dealt with the wrong person that it would not be long before your heart was weighed before Anubis and Osiris. Taking up contract kills in Cairo also brought her another avenue toward wealthy living, and most of the time she would have poisoned the targets. Although, Mafdet was placed in a less than satisfactory predicaments that led to struggling for survival. Mafdet does not want to be in those kinds of situations again, therefore she needed a hand handling contracts. Thus, her involvement with Hesiodos provided the hand she needed.
The Songbird of Greece proved useful for Mafdet in combat as he challenged a Prince and killed a man, though there are several men who could have done the same feet. Mafdet met the rumored brute and naturally slept with him a few times to gain a rapport. Hesiodos comes to visit Mafdet in the Brothel she worked, and today she will make the next move in her plan to get him onboard on her operations. The Egyptian woman laid next to the Grecian man, her hazel eyes gazing at him with a small smile before she placed a hand on his chest.
