Lukos was annoying her. Well, that didn’t actually say anything. The only time the man didn’t annoy her was when his dick was all up inside her, and even then it wasn’t a guarantee. Try not to slober on the table. Akila gave Lukos the only appropriate response that comment called for: The middle finger.
Her annoyance continued when he beat her rolls. It wasn’t unexpected. Akila rolled like shit and she was already drinking because of it. But then it was the girl’s turn. Akila saw how quick the alcohol seemed to grab hold of her. Before long the girl would be passed under the table. To her credit, she chugged it like a champ. Only pussies nursed when they lost.
You look better between my legs. Akila cocked an eyebrow at the exchange, leaning back at her own chair and crossing her legs. The girl certainly got more forward when she drank, and when she tilted her head back towards Akila, the pirate smirked in response. She was certainly not ugly, and Akila wouldn’t mind fucking someone with Lukos. But the pirate wasn’t looking for the girl to be some pillow princess.
If twos were whores, I’d have too many. Nonesense was flying out of her mouth and Akila couldn’t help but snort in amusement at her behavior. Besides was there a such thing as too many whores? To Akila… that just sounded like a good time.
Woo! Fuck you. The smirk on Akila’s face flickered for a second as the drunken girl reached for the pot. Suddenly, Akila moved forward with her dagger in hand. She slammed the point of it next to her hand as she had reached for the pot. As Akila did this. Her right hand snaked towards the dice sneakily flipping the four to the opposite side- a two.
Now, Akila hated cheating, especially in gambling. Where was the fun in that? If Akila assured her victory, was it even worth playing? But with that being said, she loved stealing. And to trick a wasted girl into unhanding her coin… well, Akila couldn’t resist.
“Ah uh, Princess. I thought we said no cheating,” Akila tilted her chin towards the dice, as she pulled back the dagger that was digging into the wood of the table. “This isn’t your pot. Or are you too drunk to even read your dice? I see you swaying.”
Akila scooped up the coins and shoved half Lukos’s way, “I’ll take my referee fee. Looks like you’re buying the next round, girl. Can you handle that?” Akila goaded her, her scarred brow rising. Akila raised her glass towards her, “Bottoms up, Princess.”

How he’d had a good turn after Zosime put the idea in his head that getting between her legs was actually possible, he didn’t know. But he managed, fairly well, he thought. However, his gaze kept straying towards her now with altogether different intentions. He thought of her head thrown back against pillows, her breath catching, her fingers twisting in his hair…
”Fucking hell.” She cursed, he blinked, and now he was back in the rough and rowdy tavern room where Zosime’s cheeks were flushed with drink and not pleasure. He sighed. Ah well. ”If twos were whores, I’d have too many.” He squinted and slid his gaze towards Akila, seeking some sort of clarification but found nothing but a derisive snort coming from Akila.
“Indeed,” he drawled at Zosime. He pressed the back of his hand to his mouth, watching the dice tumble across the table. His eyebrows rose with each successive one revealing itself and then she was cheering a loud ”Whoooooooo!” at him and reaching for the coins. Lukos had half a mind to swat her hands away from the pile. ”Fuck you!”
Lukos laughed, not insulted, though he probably should have been. He didn’t have to swat Zosi’s hand, though. His eyes dropped to Akila’s fingers as she deftly turned over the die, then to the blade in her other hand, and then to her face. He said absolutely nothing about what she’d done, though his gaze did slide, then, from her towards Zosime.
He smirked again when Akila tutted about cheating. “This isn’t your pot. Or are you too drunk to even read your dice? I see you swaying.” Uh oh. He sat up straighter as Akila shoved coins his way. He snatched those, shoving them haphazardly into his pocket but then he was leaning his elbows on the table, looking to cut into Akila’s speech. If Akila managed to convince Zosi that she was too drunk to stay, then there fucking went his chances. She was not about to be a cockblock.
But before he could say anything, Akila was telling Zosime to drink more. If she did that, she’d start to be no fun. Lukos wanted her awake and lucid. Otherwise he might as well fuck a couch for all the interest she’d be. “Bottoms up, Princess.”
“Ah, ah, ah.” he reached over and put a hand over Zosi’s cup so she wouldn’t lift it and looked meaningfully at Akila. He inclined his head towards Zosi and raised his brows. “This has been a fun game,” he started, not sure where he was going with this but knowing he wanted it to go upstairs. “Akila, didn’t you say you had a better game in your room?” He looked exaggeratedly up at the ceiling, willing Akila to understand what he was getting at. Probably she didn’t have a room here but she could sure go fucking get one. “Up there?”

Her hands had just been on the money when Akila stopped her, putting the tip of a knife into the wood near her hand. Zosime had never taken kindly to threats, and even drunk she turned her eyes up to glare at the other woman. Then she looked at the dice, finding that one of them had been turned over -- her four gone when she was sure it had been there. Before she knew it, the money was being swept away and divided by the pirates leaving her with nothing at all.
”Pull a knife on me again, bitch, and see what happens.” She said with a slow drawl, pushing back from the table and sitting back in her chair. These two were ruining her good time. They had won! Why couldn’t she win too? It was not fair at all but then again, what had she expected by playing games with pirates. It wasn’t as if they were known for being upstanding citizens. ”You’re the cheat.” She said sourly, reaching for the drink that she was offered. She just needed to keep drinking and then she could forget being mad at all.
She had just barely wrapped her fingers around the glass when Lukos put his hand over it so she couldn’t take it. She was growing rather tired of the condescension from these two. She was a grown-ass woman for the Gods sake! This has been a fun game. She snorted, still trying to take her glass. ”How has this been any fun?” She said with a roll of her eyes. ”Neither of you are even drunk yet! You!” She pointed at Akila, shoving her drink at her. ”Drink this. Drink it all.” She turned on Lukos next. ”You take another drink too. I don’t want to hear of anything else until everyone is driiiiiiiinking.”
She waved her hands, signaling the tavern keeper for more drinks. She was going to be broke by morning at any rate. Zosime started to rise to her feet, swaying as she did so which made her put hands on the table to steady herself. ”You know.” She said conversationally. ”I don’t drink and this is exactly why. It always feels good until you try to stand up and then the world does a couple of spins.” She laughed, mostly at herself.
”Drinking with friends is much better than drinking alone, I promise. Drinking alone is sad. Quite sad.” She reached for Lukos, fisting her fingers into the clothing at his shoulder. ”You’ll drink with me right? Her blue gaze held his for a long moment and then swung to look for Akila. ”We all drink. We’re allllll drinking!” She grinned, the soberness passing.
