It was fucking bright outside the Kotas manor, Sil squinting at the low sun and sighing. He was so tired he was nearly dead on his feet, and the chance to escape for a bit of fresh air was almost enough to make up the fact that he was being used as some stupid errand boy.
Almost.
His first few days in service to the Crown Prince had been...eye-opening. Not only in the depressing reality of what his days looked like now, but also in how busy the man was, and how Silanos, much to his dismay, was expected to keep the same hours as Vangelis. Deprived of all the things that he would usually use to aid him in both sleeping or staying awake, he stumbled through the hours like some kind of wraith, blinking back the tiredness and trying to follow whatever words were directed at him. Only, as he’d come to realise, he was also expected to follow what wasn’t aimed at him too. It had been an awkward silence when the prince had asked Silanos to explain what the Baron of Elimea had been discussing with him. Sil had looked at him blankly because he’d just been left standing by the door like some servant, and had abruptly tuned out whatever dull conversations he wasn’t being included in. The fact that he was supposed to pay attention to he could answer Vangelis’ questions afterwards had been a rather unpleasant discovery.
So now his head was filled with all manner of fucking boring information that he had no want or need for, except for to avoid the wrath of the Crown Prince. Which, though he couldn’t say he was thrilled about the fact, Silanos was coming to see was his best choice going forwards.
Stifling a yawn, he shambled through the courtyard and onto the streets of the upper level, eschewing a horse in the hope the walk might help him wake the fuck up. In his hands, the insulting cargo that he’d been given to deliver, and there was a very real part of the young lord that wanted to just toss the missives into the sea. It was a part that he had to ignore though, knowing full well he’d pushed his luck far enough of late.
Timaeus had barely spoken to him since the meeting where Vangelis had demanded the younger Valaoritis’ indenture as payment for his transgressions, and that conversation alone had left Sil in little doubt as to how fine the line he walked truly was. He rubbed absently at the spot on his chest where the prince’s sword had been levelled. There had been no weight behind it but still, it was not as though the moment were easy to forget.
Fuck’s sake. It was such a dumb thing to get hauled over the coals for too.Barely even worthy of being called a kiss.
He was so busy scowling at the missives he held and feeling hard done to by life that Silanos didn’t look where he was going, didn’t notice the person that stepped into his path until too late and the lord let out a litany of curses as the parchment fell and he had to bend to retrieve it from where it landed at the feet of.. .
Oh hello. Maybe he wasn’t as annoyed as all that.
Without so much as thinking how perhaps he ought not to, Sil stood back up slowly, giving the woman a very obvious once over as he did, before he shook the dust off the missives he’d dropped and winked at her. It was as natural as breathing, and felt like a bit of light relief after the day he’d had, the young lord seeing no harm in delaying a few moments to talk to a pretty woman.
“Hey. There are easier ways to start a conversation you know”

“Hey. There are easier ways to start a conversation you know”
It was another day of wandering around and trying to make it to her destination before sun set. She began regretting not getting a horse.
She walked along the stalls of the market...
But then who would feed it once she was gone. It was not like she could take her own horse to war. She also thought leaving the horse behind to someone might become a burden. It was hard to afford things already as it was...
Oh my that looks so pretty...
Semiramis looked at the blue colored cloth with light embellishments but didn't reach for it. She kept walking.
No.. no this was not a good idea. She couldn't afford a new dress, much less could she offset caring for a horse. Still on days when she didn't feel like walking it was useful. Much, much useful... she thought.
Semiramis watched people, not looking for anything in particular, she was just walking leisurely. She was aloof for a minute. Walking like this was always nice. She had been in such a hurry she had never slowed down. Just to watch.
She felt herself stamp into someone quite roughly. She was very sure she stepped into a wall. "Ouch," she rubbed her forehead. "I am sorry, I will be -" she was about to reach out to help the stranger, but she didn't finish her sentence.
Why was he looking at her this way? Was her chiton revealing? I hope not.. she thought. His question was strange for some reason. A conversation..?
Semiramis was not sure if being polite was a good idea. She glanced at his face her eyes narrowed and her brow furrowed. He looked young, almost like a kid, but his eyes were surrounded by thick purple trimming, like he hadn't been getting enough sleep...
Well it was not her problem anyway. It really wasn't any of her business.. She realized she was glaring at a stranger. She blinked her eyes. Her gaze going back to normal. Now she would just apologize and be on her merry way.
"You're right. I am sorry I bumped into you," she smiled politely. "Now if you will excuse me I hope you have a pleasant day."
She side stepped twice to move out of his way. Hopefully that would be the end of it.

Sil’s once over had tracked up from her feet to her face, and he’d already spoken by the time he noticed the scar that marred the woman’s face. Silvery against the tan of her skin, it carved all the way down her face and disappeared beneath her chiton. What the fuck had done that?! It was a shame because she would have been stunning without it. He figured he must have been too obvious in glancing at it though because when he met her gaze, it wasn’t terribly friendly.
Sil’s eyes narrowed in return. , Huh. Suit yourself then. Fucking rude given that she’d walked into [/i] him. The lord looked on as the woman - older than him by a bit, he’d decided- moved to address him.
‘You're right. I am sorry I bumped into you. Now if you will excuse me, I hope you have a pleasant day.’
She seemed to have caught onto her self and smiled pleasantly at him as she spoke. Blandly. A decidedly uninterested smile. Like it would kill her to come back at him with a bit of banter or something.
Maybe it was because he was so tired, or because he’d had to mind his tongue so much in the Prince’s company, but Sil bristled at being so easily blown off. He usually got at least to an introduction without too much effort. This was just fucking insulting. It must be what Tim’s life was like all the time. Unimaginable.
“Alright. Whatever. Just try looking where you’re going next time” he said dismissively, head tilting to the side a little as he looked at her. “Might’ve been something important” He half-lifted the missives he was carrying, he had no fucking idea if they were important or not, and he didn’t really care. He was just making a point. Or being bratty. He’d argue it either way if he had to.
