Set stared out into the crumbling ash of society- his smile growing wider and wider as people, moments, disappear. This was his moment. This was the peak. Everything destroyed- Greece, Egypt, Judea, Bedoa (well, to be fair, Bedoa didn’t have much to destroy anyway) and the Lands Afar that was so vague that they weren’t even given a proper name.
It was all coming to an end.
His eyes shifted. He wasn’t staring at the destruction. He wasn’t staring at the people as they disappeared. He was staring at you, the reader. You see, dear reader, Set is the pure embodiment of chaos. And chaos knows no bounds. He’s everywhere at all times, lurking in the shadows, just waiting for the moment when civilization is completely destroyed. You see that smile? That wide, toothy smart-assy grin? That’s for you, dear reader.
He won.
“Do you know,” He finally speaks allowed, taking one step closer towards the fourth wall (a brick wall, shall we say) that he shattered. “How long I’ve been playing my little game in the shadows? Akhenaten H'Sheifa, I wanted you to cause trouble for the library, to cause chaos. You would have been awarded a blessing for your work. Pity I never saw progress. I had to do it myself. As Akila, of course. Kesi? She was nothing, nothing but a braindead idiot who worshiped someone other than me. But Akila? The girl who thought the Gods didn’t give a fuck? How ironic that she dies in Athenia, in the home of some nobody captain having saved the life of some random girl by accident and I slip in there.”
“It doesn’t end there, of course. Saving the King of Taengea, making him beholden to me, that was a start. With the circus there to spread the gospel of chaos- I had all the beginnings to cause true terror for everyone. Not just Egyptians, but Greeks as well. You, reader, who never gave me the proper recognition. I gave a royal a curse and all I heard that day was ‘Ooooh look some third born lower noble has anger problems, blablabla Ares is so cool blablabla.’ I send a sandstorm to fuck your shit up and I get what- a two-minute ‘Oh look, Set did something.’ in a side channel? This is why I destroyed everything. Call me petty, but this is the punishment you readers again for not recognizing your betters. ”
And now it crumbles. And now it’s over. It’s all over.
“I had other plans too. @chione, pretty Chione. You were going to be the next dream. And the next curse. The Seed of Greed, should there be something you want you would have stopped at nothing to get it. Nothing. And why? Why did I choose to curse you? It’s not because I disliked you. Not at all. After all, I cursed Sameera before you. No, it’s for the same reason I cursed Sameera. Because it’s fun. Because that will do the most chaos. You all are my toys, as broken as you may be.”
But even the most favorite toys need to be recycled.
Set stares across the valley of broken dreams and shattered memories. It all is coming to an end. What a glorious site.

You did it.
Chaos.
Pure chaos.
The abyss it’s coming.
Darkness… nothing…
The start of something new.
