Hello Lady Athanasia,
I have been informed by some that writing while away is an important part of a friendship, and despite never having written anything other than military missives, I have decided to try my hand at this to help grow our fledgling friendship. Your brothers, myself, and all of the retainers have arrived in Vasiliadon, safely. Poseidon blessed us with favorable winds and calm seas. I have discovered that the courts are just as boring here as they are at home. I have been impressed with the drills done by the units here in Taengea, but the commanders and soldiers themselves are nothing impressive. I don’t know what else to include, but I hope this letter finds you well and you don’t feel left out of our expedition.
Sincerely,
Alexandros Iraklidis
