Lady Athanasia,
I am pleased to hear that my writing was not not so bad as to stop you from replying. I must ask though, did you wish for rain solely to hide your tears? There is some fun to be had here, the wine and food are of the highest quality, and they have fights in arenas for the entertainment of the people and, as with anywhere, there are other diversions to be had. That is not to say that I would not prefer to home. Life is certainly easier here, but it seems that we are constantly being observed, politics is treated as if it was war, and I would prefer to be back home where things are simpler. When I next return to Midas, we will have a rematch under whatever rules you prefer. My one request is that we use blunted weapons and wear armor this time. I would prefer things to be as safe as possible for us both, that way your brother does not kill me for hurting you.
Your friend,
Alexandros Iraklidis
