Welcome to 1349: The Great Mortality. We are a middle ages low fantasy roleplay set in 14th century Britain during the black death. The roleplay itself is currently centered around a fictional city named Brooktown located in Northern England. It boasts a population of 125 souls which is quite a contrast to the thousand that populated it a year prior. Despite this, the city thrives and the economy is prospering but only a day at a time. Surrounding Brooktown are the estates of some of the major families of England which include both vampire and human alike. These families shape the political climate of the roleplay and are the basis and foundation of crisis, drama, intrigue, and conflict. The black death is the catalyst of this roleplay and, while we understand that vampires are evil, we often forget the evil of humanity. Humans are the real burden of these stories as their nature in the 14th century knew very few limits. We strive for realism in our stories.
