There wasn't much she could do about Mihail's distrust to her husband, that much Evras knew. It had been there since day one, even when she was getting married to the man. While Evras was slightly saddened by it, she also understood that there was no real need for her birth family to be completely closely tied to the family she married into. The fact that she could still visit them on a regular basis was already a blessing in itself, that Nethis did not marry her off to a royal noble family of a different kingdom entirely.
Deciding to let her brother's comment past, her brows raised at Mihail's tone turned worried, and reached forward to pat the back of his hand. "Yes he does, brother. Dion does miss you all, and he will visit. Just that he is of the age to begin his military training, so he just has less time. That is all. Do not worry your head." Evras, while willing to follow as her husband has decreed for now, would bring up the issue of bringing her son to visit his uncles again soon, when things were much settled with him.
Raising a brow, it only took Mihail's first sentence to remind Evras of her brother's distaste for the open sea. She had received swim lessons when she was younger, as did her sisters, yet when Mihail came along, their father had been too old to see to it by then, and as such her brother had not had the benefit of such lessons. At the very least if Evras had fallen in, she could keep herself afloat till someone else could get to her.
"Tis alright then, Mihail. The whole Kotas family would be going anyway, so you'll turn your nose up at them and I do not want to be making your excuses to Zanon that night." she teased with a little lilt in her laugh, eyes glittering with mirth. Nodding at his promise to visit, the woman leaned in to offer him a hug, squeezing her brother as tight as she could before leaning back. "I'll visit with father first, before I go back home, shall I? Do send me a missive should anything of import happen here. I know Nethis has been busy, although I do not know of what." she murmured, curious on the amount of missives her sister has been sending out, from what her old lady's maid told her whenever she visited. Yet Nethis had plans her siblings were often not privy to, so Evras knew better then to ask.

"And visit often!" Mihail interjected, to ensure Evras understood he didn't solely wish to see Dion sometimes: he wanted the opportunity to see his nephew as often as had been the case before such military training had begun. As often as when Evras would visit the house almost every other day. "As I said, I have plenty of my own to teach him; not just when it comes to his archery." There was plenty that Dion had yet to learn, that much was for sure, and if it were necessary, then his younger Thanasi uncle would be the one to do it.
Mihail never really understood why his sister felt it necessary to make excuses for him to her husband whenever he complained about the Kotas family or appeared to act less than amicable around them. It wasn't as though Zanon's family thought that highly of the Thanasis, though he supposed they were usually a little less vocal about their distaste. He had always been more impulsive and more open about voicing his opinions, though he wasn't so stupid as to do so to the man's face. If he ever wished to go against his sister's wishes and harm them, then he would do so by far more subtle means, and the family would hardly know what hit them.
"I cannot help my dislike for them," he shrugged, as though he did not so often kick up such a fuss at nothing more than their name. It was not exactly Mihails's fault he had been raised to see them as a bitter rival, nor that he had always seen such strife between his youngest sister and her husband, nor had it helped that Mother had been a Kotas. As far as he was concerned, his distaste was entirely reasonable. "Though I suppose your reconciliation is somewhat reassuring. Regardless, I'd still rather not attend." But Evras already understood that from him, and there had been no need to elaborate.
Returning the tight hug his sister had offered, Mihail shook his head as though to agree that Nethis had been preoccupied as of late. "I've heard nothing of her schemes, unfortunately, so I wouldn't be able to tell you. If I did discover anything, however, I assure you, you would be the first to know." Although Nethis did tend to keep her secrets very well-guarded, and even Mihail, with all his sources and skill, could not figure out her mysteries. It was unlikely she would let something slip anytime soon. "Anyhow, I hope you enjoy your visit with Father almost as much as you enjoy visiting me." He smiled at his sister, leaning over to plant a gentle kiss on her cheek before he let her leave.
