Do not stand on formalities with me, for I do consider you a dear friend and sister as well. Your visit was splendid, and I look upon the time we spent together fondly. My sister was glad that you had managed to spend the time in our kingdom, and I can only hope that you recall the time as fondly as I do.
I prayed to Poseidon upon hearing of the storm that had stirred up upon your hasty departure from Athenia. Had we known that it was impending, my sister and I would have pressed upon you to remain longer so you would not have been caught up in such a dangerous time. Thank the Gods that you managed to find a place in Colchis for you to drop safe anchors before you continue on your journeys. Do inform me once you have returned to Taengea safely, as I would be greatly saddened if something were to happen to you.
I have not had the pleasure of meeting Prince Zanon, but from what I've heard, he is of a much gentler disposition then the crown prince himself. But perhaps I am even more surprised that Crown Prince Vangelis would have anything but a 'gentle' disposition. A good heart he may have, but that does not erase him of the fact that he has earned a bloody reputation - one that I am unable to wrap my head around.
His mannerisms are above reproach, and tis not that in which strikes fear in the hearts of many. Tis the bloody trail left behind by his exploits in war, that in which tells me he is no man that I wish you to be near, for the dangers it may bring you and your gentle, sweet disposition, dear Selene. He is a good ally, that I do not deny. I trust him as an ally to our kingdom, but not as someone I would have a day out with. I do wish you would take greater care around him, for military men - as we've seen in Athenia, have a far different manner in which they approach problems and people, one in which may be dangerous.
Tis a good thing that your uncle has written to inform you of the weather, as I would hate for you to be caught in a storm at a more inopportune place. Yes, please do remain in Colchis for as long as necessary to ensure you can complete your travels safely home in due time. I am surprised that the familial home would have a lack of servants - do the Leventi's not have a full array of servants in all familial homes? As that has been the practice of our family. Perhaps our cultures differ, and if so, I would love to hear of how it may differ from Taengea to Athenia.
I have not had the pleasure to visit Colchis before, however from your descriptions, naught makes me wish to make a journey there. We've had the tail end of the storm hit our harbors as well, and as such I know the people would be thankful to the help provided by the royal family. I wish for the guidance of Asclepius for any casualties Colchis may have experienced, and do extend our families greatest wishes for all to be well again with their kingdom.
My sister and I are well, and her engagement announcement to Lord Ianos was met with great pomp and celebration, as my father had expected and predicted. Our lives are otherwise uneventful here until the Senate meeting which is to convene soon with my sister in attendance. I welcome the lull in activity, as the past few months have been a whirlwind that I find I have missed just being in my room with a book to read. How do you spend your time, dearest Selene?
I pray that the Theoi Ouranioi would have mercy on your travels, and the weathers would calm enough for your return to your family and your sisters soon.
Your loving friend,
Emilia
