Sweet Selene,
I was glad you were there too, and I'm sorry that you were not able to enjoy the full extent of the festivities. I understand your qualms, as I felt the same, managing to stay only because my father stayed by my side. His hands on mine give me a lot of comfort, and I had to stay to provide my sister the provide the support she needed to help her sway the Senate vote in her favor and for her upcoming nuptials with Lord Iason.
Tis not his kills that have me worried for you, dear Selene. I know as well as you that to find a man that has not killed woul be a difficult task, and I am not so blinded as to that fact. No, tis his reputation and demeanour that has me afraid for you. I have had the... I would not say the pleasure, but I have met the Crown Prince Vangelis when he came over to meet my sister, and the man does not smile. I wonder if he even has the capability to do so. He does not deserve your joy and radiance. I find it hard to believe we speak of the same person when you speak of his personality.
I am curious as to the fine bred horses your uncle has sent. I do hope our Athenian horseflesh met your fine standards during your visit, and I do regret not being able to see the famous Leventi bred horses during my short stint in Taengea. I am glad to hear you should be leaving soon, I am sure you miss your sisters? And I do hope all is well at home. Do write me once you have returned, for I am anxious to hear Taengea has been returned to normal.
Please do convey my felicitations to both your sister, Lady Theodora. Lord Achilleas seems like a wonderful husband to have, and I hope they will have a wonderful marriage. I miss your harp playing - it was a wonderful evening when you played it during your visit to our kingdom, and I wish that I could pick up the skills as well. I am looking forward to asking my sister for the permission to hire a tutor once we're more available for such activities.
May Zephyrus bless your sails, and anxiously await your next letter, sweet Selene. Do tell me of your travels home and of any wedding preparations, for I foresee we will need that during my sister's wedding as well.
Missing you,
Emilia
