My Lady Evras,
No forgiveness is necessary, as no sooner had I sat to put my own words down I received your note. Though I felt your loss distinctly on the evening of the gathering, I understand that obligation to one's family must come first. I hope to see you again soon, but I am indeed happy to help you practice the art of missives, even if we must sit across from one another and pass them by.
Ever since you left I have felt as if there is something missing, and now it is my time to beg you to forgive my boldness as I say without you my arms feel empty. I would very much like to see you again, be it a simple stroll or a party once again. We are holding an occasion at the house a week from this evening, would you honor me with your presence? I long to see your sweet smile once more.
Since our missives are kept brief, I shall wait patiently for an answer and reply instead to your questions. My brother is frequently training with his warriors, as we all do, but when he is not present I find myself much burdened with his duties. As for my siblings, I am glad to say we are all close and as there are so many younger than I, I help them where I can. My sister Athanasia has become quite proficient with a bow under our tutelage.
Until I see you again, I pray that the fates will reunite us once more.
Yours,
Zanon of Kotas
