Lady Evangelina,
It gladdens me to hear that your family is doing well. How do they celebrate the new year in Taengea? In Athenia the crown usually hosts some sort of event. House Nikolaos typically attends, but we have our own familial traditions too. Often the branch families will join us.
Had I known you were unaware which houses see the Nikolaos intervention most frequently, I certainly would have informed you sooner. I do not believe I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with Lady Ava directly, but her family and mine are quite well-allied.
Acharist sounds quite wonderful right about now. Perhaps I can convince my father to allow me leave enough to visit in the springtime? I cannot guarantee his support of the idea, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. I quite enjoyed my last trip to Taengea and the subsequent letters I’ve received from an interesting girl there whose conversations never bore me.
Truly? That is unexpected, my lady. I wish I could say my every word is intended to do as much, but I confess I’ve not considered the writing in my letters to have contained much that would be of interest to you. Clearly this is a sign our communications should not end.
Your friend,
Lord Dysmas
