Vangelis,
I am conflicted, I must confess.
It was upsetting to hear of Lord Garvill’s injury, for I know your sister was looking forward to spending time with his daughter and that was most of your reason for coming to Taegnea in the first place. I have sent an offering to the shrine Hermes for a speedy recovery, with hopes that it will aid in his healing and perchance, give you some time to complete your original task while here.
However, I cannot help but feel pleased that we are getting the opportunity to repay your family’s kindness while I was in Midas. I often think back fondly on my visit to Colchis and find myself missing your family, for they remind me so much of my own. I am looking forward to hearing how they are doing, for your letters as to them were always brief. But, I am most looking forward to the chance to show you what I love about my kingdom. This way, perhaps you will be indebted to show me your favorite places in Colchis. I feel like I got to see so little of the kingdom. Zanon, bless his heart, was not as attentive of a tour guide as I am sure you would have been.
I am anxious for the chance to create a better memory of our time together in Taegnea. Perhaps some with less death and fire?
I am genuinely looking forward to your arrival, safe and sound on our shores. And I will see you soon at dinner.
Yours,
Selene
P.S. I have made sure that there is a mercenary set, brought personally from my family’s home, in the study there. Perhaps you will indulge me in a game or two while you are here?
