To Lady Evelli and the lovely daughters Leventi,
I have news since we last spoke in Argothia several months past.
As you well know, for the past several years I have been in loyal service to the troupe, the Children of Mnemosyne, as their Producer. Sadly, given the strangeness that has befallen the world these days across the realm, it has made it difficult for our troupe to continue traveling and has we been forced disband in its current state.
Given the Leventi support we have received over the years, I would be remiss in failing to inform you of this significant change and would like to thank you and your family for all of their support over the years, particularly during the festivals in honor of our beloved patron god, Dionysus.
With that being said, I have two pieces of good news.
The first being that I am still in good standing with many of our former performers and should their services be required for upcoming festivals, banquets, or other festivities, it would be my honor and pleasure to bring your guests the joy of the arts at your request, without fail.
The second being that, in light of the troupes disbandment, I have just this day rejoined the Merchant's Guild in Vasiliádon and will continue on to my family's home in Acaris for a few days to rejoin my father and brothers in business.
In our missives thus far, I have selfishly offered to relieve my brother, Galan, of your accounts to personally serve the esteemed Leventi family myself, in his stead. I have no doubt that he will agree as he grows weary of traveling away from his wife and children.
If it pleases you, I would be delighted to entertain your ladyship, Lady Eirini, and all of your daughters when I return to Vasiliádon from Acaris. I assure you that I will bring as many luxuries as a cart and horse can carry to make it worth your while. There are several items I know that will be sure to delight Nana particularly.
I look forward to serving you now and forever.
Regards,
Basilides
Inside the envelope, a hasily written postscript on a slim strip of paper adds:
Lady Nana,
Please let me know your preference between gold or silver at your earliest convenience.
