One good turn deserves another... and I'm very aware that in all my busyness of running Aeipathy, sometimes I forget to say particular thanks or take the time to appreciate those who go above and beyond to help Aeipathy grow - not just our staffers, but our members too. So, this channel is dedicated to me sending out messages of thanks and appreciation for particular behaviour or efforts made by the members of the site. If others would like to use it too to send shout outs or messages of thanks to other members then I 100% encourage you to do so. Sometimes we, as a human race, are quick to speak up when somethings is wrong, but not so much when things have been done right. I'm correcting that today...

Thank you for your amazing review and words on the RPG-Directory review thread. While I know that some people didn't appreciate that the review was mostly positive, I trust you when you say it is so because you couldn't find anything negative to say about Aeipathy - even constructively. I put a lot of time and energy into Aeipathy, hoping to make it the best it can be, so hearing that you have noticed all of these things - from the appearance, to the way the site is managed and run, to the smallest of details - really makes everything feel like it was all worth it. I cannot express how happy and proud your review made me feel and I just wanted to let you know that I am a million times over grateful that you put it out there for all to see. I profoundly thank you. <3

Recently, our staff team has been cut short and it has been through a fabulous moment of coincidence that our newcomer number has increased the second we are short of hands. Normally, this would make a staffer concerned or worried. Not me. Because I know that Maxie is there to help newbies find their way, answer their questions speedily and accurately and know when to back down and admit that she doesn't know the answer and a staffer will need to answer something (a skill that is just as important as all the others). Maxie, you have been a dedicated member of the site for several months now, but more than that you have been a dedicated person - someone who will openly be willing to help others and who offers their time and attention beyond what is required of simply a "member". So, to you, I wish to say a humongous thank you. You allow me sleep in peace, content that - even in the rare moments that a staffer isn't online, someone is there to help x

Just wanted to take a moment to recognise the difficulty there is in returning to a site you have previously left. No matter the validity of your reasons for leaving a site (and trust me, you lot have had like, the best reasons to), it can always be a little nerve-wracking, confusing or just plan difficult to join back onto a site and into a community that you have previously left. And I 100% understand why most people don't both - they just go and find something else. So, I would like to take a moment to just appreciate those members of ours who have not only taken a chance on us and Aeipathy once, but have come back to do it again. Many thanks to all three of you (and anyone else whom I've forgotten left and returned) and we hope you'll be with us for a long time to come!! <3

Shout out to Berry who left an awesome review for us on RPGInitiative! Read the awesome stuff she said about us and our community!
I've been a part of Aeipathy since it's launch and I can honestly say it's one of the most fun, dynamic places I've ever had the opportunity to RP on. The community is so welcoming and inclusive. Plots are abundant, people are not left hanging, and, more than that, it's exciting! The global site plot is moving at a good pace and there's always something to respond to. The admin works tirelessly to ensure that we have workable plots, that characters are developing, and that we are included in the global plot if we want to be.
As others have said, the skin is amazing. There's a lot of lore but that makes the immersion experience deeper, in my opinion. All of the characters on this site are well developed and thought out - which is a must if one wants deep, intricate plots.
This is a historical RP but don't let that dissuade you. None of us lived in Ancient Greece and so all it takes is a little bit of research and some common sense. The site has an encyclopedia with a lot of information in it, so chances are, what you're needing or wanting to know is in there. They've even included a 'cook book' of sorts for what the characters might have eaten in a day. It's nifty.
On our discord, we also have a 'research' channel and everyone is willing to help out.
And! What I find really interesting, is that there isn't 'magic' on this board, but that doesn't mean you can't affect other characters. Greeks were extremely superstitious so if your character claims to have powers, chances are, people will believe them. We also have the gods who absolutely can mess with your character. You never know when you're talking to a god because their identities are hidden, which adds a cool element to game play.

Not only has megs been a member on Aeipathy for some time now - since our first month I believe - and continued to provide us with awesome stories and amazing characters, survived her friend coming and going as part of our community and prevailed through a nail-biting hiatus for Vangelis of Kotas and Selene of Leventi (damn our speedy posting getting us too far ahead *quietly sobs in a corner*)...
But she has also gone a step further now and contributed to the site in a way that benefits all, by purchasing us Ad Free for this month!! Our Ad-Free purchased for us by the lovely Lorsynth expired at the end of November and now Megs has spent her RL money to keep us ad free for another!
Thank you, Megs!!! I'm sure everyone who struggles with those ads are going to be super, super thankful! <3 <3 <3

A Big Thank You
Y'all have no idea how shocked and surprised I was when I saw the Nod in the Weekly Broadcast. However, it would not have been possible without the help from JD and the Staff and my fellow players!
Daniil is not always easy to write, but when her muse goes nuts she can be awesome. And its not always easy portraying a woman that is on the higher echelon of society because of the rules that they have to live by. It can and often is a challenge. Many people would balk at the rules. One of my inspiration is watching videos about the Royals across the globe and I watch specifically how the women handle situations. I also watch shows like White Queen, White Princess, Tudors, Reign, and Borgia's and study how the woman used there positions to make things happen.
Yes, not every plot works out the way I want them too. This is what is meant by the saying that No situation survives first contact. No matter how you want to have this or that happen, on an organic level, you have to be true to the characters and you have to be true to the setting as well, and doing that may actually make the plot flow a different way. It's not a bad thing. It opens doors and opportunities that you may not have noticed before
This is one of the things I have had to work on with JD and the staff. There are times that it makes me laugh and there are days it makes me cry or scream, but in the end it helps with making me a better writer, role-player, and person.
JD you and your staff have my deepest appreciation and I am lucky to have found Aeipathy and a whole new bunch of people that I am honored to call friends, family, and tribe.

I have something big to say, something that I have been wanting to say for a while now and never knew exactly how to word it just right to get my point across. After some of the things I have heard today though, I now know what to say. Aeipathy has become my home away from all the bad things in my real world. My home and most of you have quickly become like family to me. I found my handful of quarters, I am lucky in that I got to find you, and I would rather have you in my corner than a million others who only pretend to be. These people, my quarters, are so amazing that I wanted to share, so they never forget that even to a nobody like me, they mean more to me than anything. You all are seriously my shinies in the dark.
Kitsie - Where do I even begin? I swear you were one of the very first people who added me on Aeipathy. Pulling me in and talking me into joining. Somehow you always know just when I need a hug or something to make me laugh. I wouldn't change you for a million other friends.
Berry - Being silly and sweet, all while being point-blank honest about your thoughts. Sensible and creative, you are seriously someone I truly enjoy talking with you. I can't even put into words even as I sit here and giggle over all the talks/jokes we have had about our characters. hahahaha xD
Cissi - You are someone I can always count on. Even with one hand! You were there, guiding me with ideas when I needed help during mod stuff (even if I was slow as fuuuu*** >.<). I completely adore you, and look forward to more times Asia gets to torment Zanon > hehe
Maxie - Maxie, Maxie, Maxie... You are a freaking riot! I love hanging out and talking with you, seriously. We NEED to have more threads!!!!
Elo & Nummy - You two, I adore you guys. Nummy, you became like a brother to me almost right off the bat. I wish more people could see how genuine you are and how trustworthy you are. Same with you Elo, I don't know how we have had literal hours long conversations and still have things to talk about. You are an angel with a heart of gold. Never change.
JD - I saved you for last because, in all honesty, in the short months I have been on Aeipathy, you have always been there. I can never put into words on how special and awesome you are in my book. When I needed help, you guided me. When I needed someone to talk with, you were there with an ear and a shoulder for me to lean and vent too. You are someone I can count on for anything and everything, and trustworthy above all. I can't imagine how you are able to run the site AND post too, all while helping anyone in need! You have quickly become one of my best friends, and I am beyond glad that you talked me into taking Athanasia because it allowed me to come on here and know all of you. To find my home here in our Greece. You are beyond understanding when I have my days that I just can't seem to even function as I should. You push to motivate me to get out of the funks that I have, and always listen when things get even worse around here with my family. I adore you, beyond measure for every single thing you do. You, who always think of everyone and how others will look at things. Like now, you have no idea that I am writing this to show how amazing you are, and you push so everyone is included and gets that chance to not feel left out. You always pull everyone in close, so no one ever misses the story we are all building.
These 7 people are my people. Those whom I will forever and always be loyal too. I am also getting to know more of you and I look forward to having more 'quarters' for my heart one day. -sends hugs and loves to her quarters.-
p.s.- For anyone who wonders about the quarters, that is in reference to a saying. "Would rather have 4 quarters than a 100 pennies." Meaning, I would rather have a few friends who are worth more than cheap friends who aren't worth much in the long run. Honesty and loyalty are everything. Just so you know why I call them my quarters.
P.P.S.- Now, don't let this seem like I am just sticking with this little bunch and that is that. No, these are just some that I wish to share why and how much I absolutely adore them, and how much they mean to me. I want to know more of you and make threads with you all! One day I MIGHT even have as many characters as Kitsie has and can literally make a thread with everyone at once! (-runs away before Kitsie hurts her, after all the snickering- I KID! I KID!!! hahahahaha)
Seriously though, I love you guys and adore you. Never change.

Dear Maxie,
Sometimes I think about the fact that I'm probably not a good person. I start a lot of shit, and I do a lot of things that perhaps aren't good for me in the long run. I have a lot of problems that I both acknowledge and ignore at the same time in the absolute worst of ways; I love gossip way too much and, honestly, I'm much too emotional and rude about everything.
But I think that can all be thrown aside in acknowledgement of the fact that, fundamentally, the thing that makes me a much worse person than I even believe I am is that I take a lot of what you do for granted.
Like, fuck, I'm not even sure you know how much you do for me. I mess things up a lot, and you're always there for me when that happens. I take up your time with all my depressing nonsense and an absurd amount of Ezra Miller and yet, you're still there, and you're for some reason still there and supporting me and stopping me from screwing things up further. More than that: you're still, like, my best friend.
I mean, that's mind-blowing to me. I guess its just a testament to how great a person you are because someone without your literal iron will would have likely disappeared by now. I probably would. Sometimes I feel like I don't quite listen to you half as much as you listen to me. But I want you to know that I know that you have an insane amount going on in your life as well, and I endlessly appreciate everything you do.
I know you've not been very musey lately and I'm always bugging you for posts Montana and, honestly, it's because they're amazing and I look forward to them whenever I know they're coming. You're probably one of the best writers I've ever had the pleasure of roleplaying with and I don't think it's possible for me to be more excited about our plots.
You're a fantastic friend, future wife, twin, cowboy, blind-dog-man and partner in crime and I'm more than glad you're around.
I love you (platonically).
