The royal acropolis is a large complex of multiple buildings. It occupies a vast footprint of land and is mostly open to the public. The only private space is the large hall in which political sessions are held between the Tabarna, Tawananna and Council of Ministers. The rest is an open space of courtyards, meeting halls, library archives and governmental resources. As there is a direct route from the Acropolis to the Kings Gate, it is tradition military troops to coordinate in front of the Acropolis before a war campaign or after their return for the state funeral of fallen comrades. A large, wide and shallow pool in front of the Acropolis is used for many such ceremonies or seasonal events. The Acropolis acts as a small town and an open communion between the otherwise untouchable rulers of the city and their people. Built from white granite, the impressive, block-like structures are lined with hundreds of yards of burgundy silk in honour of the ruling house.
