mitanni is a small land compared to neighbours and these walls are what have kept them in existence. walls are several metres thick and there are three of them with several metres between. visitors pass through three sets of gates which are not in line with one another. battlements and defenses are on each wall. wassukanni has been sacked three times in recent history, each time prompting a new wall to be built. it is now considered impenetrable
