The Benedi Praedium is a comfortable villa, though one might not realise as much when they gaze upon the walls of sandstone that surround the property and prevent unwanted visitors. Its entrance is guarded by polished bronze doors that are etched with elaborate but orderly geometric designs. Once inside, the central courtyard is a haven of neatly arranged herb gardens that encircle a central fountain, which bubbles endlessly in the Roma sun. The residence is lined with columns that support frescoed porticos, where clay pots house myriad decorative plants. The interior rooms are a blend of luxury and practicality, but, most impressive is the home's grand library, filled with scrolls and documents collected from a vast array of lands. The library is lined with many a nook and cranny for quiet contemplation or study, and several short hallways lead off the room to a selection of private meeting rooms. It is not always so tidied as other noble homes, giving it very much a sense of having been lived-in rather than existing as little more than a static symbol of power.
