Right in the centre of Sector VIII, one can find the Balbi Theatre. This sunken open-air theatre serves as the host to many a dramatic production, from tales of mythology to the most famous of epics. The semi-circular stage is sunk into the ground, surrounded by multiple layers of stone seating for viewers. Behind the stage is a private underground chamber in which the actors and stagehands may prepare for a grand performance, hidden from the eyes of spectators. It is always busy, for there is always a performance to be seen and, when there is not, the comfortable seats make for a good place to sit and chat with one's friends while recovering from a busy day spent roaming the trader's quarter.
