Newcomer she may be to Colchis, no one had ever accused Evelli of Leventi to be of little passion, especially when her cause at hand had to do with one of her offspring. Scheduled to return to Taengea soon, although the exact date of which Evelli did not know, she intended to at least ensure Olympia was well taken care of before her departure, to help her daughter recover after the stressful experience of childbirth made all the more worst due to the situation she faced at hand. Yet all the physician's in Midas she could find could give her no more then the standard usual fenugreek for a tea of recovery, along with nettle for energy levels.
But Evelli wasn't satisfied. Looking at Olympia's dipping moods and the various emotions her daughter has to go through, she wanted more, if only to assist her and to ensure Tisiphone could get a good enviroment, the matriarch of the Leventi family had headed out to find more, and word of the street had informed her of a healer who apparently only tended to a band of unknown men, yet her methods seem new but effective.
Not at all afraid to try and ask around herself, Evelli had set foot out to the Lower Levels of Midas, dressed in her common brown, serviceable dress instead of the exquisite gowns branding her as nobility. She did not wish to draw attention to herself, and had also wound her brunette locks up tightly above her head, as she scoured the streets of the Lower Levels, asking and asking until she was finally directed to a small, nondescript area.
Quiet, almost deserted, Evelli clutched her hands to her chest. She had intentionally done away with all her jewelry, and only carried a small pouch of coins on her waist, hidden under the folds of the rough linen dress she wore. Hazel eyes searched the area, before the woman cried out hesitantly. "Hello, is anyone there? I'm here looking for someone named Isis? I would greatly appreciate some help from her."

Tiye was alone in the hideout, everyone had gone to get some food this morning but she needed to restore some of her pain medications so she sat there mixing them. Her stomach growled and she might be regretting the decision to stick around but this work needed completed. Rah knew that they would come back with aches and pains and need it.
Now, some of the lower lifes knew she was a doctor and paid for her treatment, it was difficult to keep that under wraps oftentimes. Especially when her banged up crew came out all pathed up. Still, she had no visit without a warning before and stood defensively when someone called out her false name.
She held up her pestel in a defensive position, “Who is it?” She demanded, not shy despite being small and not trained for combat. Then the words registered, they wanted help. She lowered her pestel but stayed somewhat defensive in her stance, “Come in.”
“Who are you?” She regarded the woman who was dressed common but did not move or speak so. She was clean and well rested. Tiye narrowed her eyes, “How can I help you?”
OOC: let me know if her assumptions about Evelli are off and I’ll happily edit.

For a moment, Evelli felt silly calling out to the great unknown. Did she expect some overhead, ethereal being to come and give her answers to this mysterious healer she sought for? When nothing replied her for a moment, Evelli almost looked crestfallen - but only for a split second, for in the next, a voice immediately alerted the elder Taengean born matriarch. Her hazel eyes looked up, searching for the source of the voice until her gaze fell upon a small figure holding up a pestel, tiny but seemingly confident, and sounding highly defensive.
Evelli held a hesitant position, at least until the pestel was lowered. Careful in her movement for she could still detect defensiveness in the other's voice, she took a few steps closer, before speaking. "I am Evelli, from Taengea. I... am seeking for help. Do you know of the one they call Isis?" she asked, careful to ensure she remained a respectful distance, so she did not frighten or spook the other.
Holding the garments of her cheap outfit close to her, Evelli's skin itched at the feel of the rough linen, used to high quality silks and cloth. But to blend in and not stand out, she had intentionally loaned the outfit of one of the servant's they hired in the Leventi manor house of Colchis. She did not need to parade around the lower levels of an unfamiliar kingdom all decked out afterall.
"I seek for help, my daughter had just given birth. My granddaughter and her are physically fine, but her emotions are unstable. She's been through... a tough time." she murmured, a wry, almost sad smile upon her lips. Evelli did not go into detail, not wanting anyone to know her daughter was actually Olympia, the former and exiled queen of Taengea. In fact, Evelli was also hoping that the commoner of Colchis would not even know who she was from Taengea. "I was hoping this Isis would be able to help in terms of improving her emotions, and perhaps anything to help her heal quicker.'

Tiye felt very small and very alone. Still, this was just a woman in a world where women had only a few tasks in life like child bearing and cooking. Defending one's self was unlikely on her list of skills. Even so, Tiye never assumed anything about anyone automatically. There were too many possibilities to ever feel comfortable feeling as if you knew each happening beforehand. She simply weighed odds and these were in her favor.
The woman addressed her by her false name, the one she used around everyone but those she trusted. That meant whoever this was had heard her name from someone Tiye didn’t trust. In her defense though, Tiye only trusted a small handful of people so Evelli was hardly in the minority. It was somewhat dark in the enclave they had chosen to hide out but Tiye could see once again that this woman was clean and thin, but in a healthy way. Her crew might be seen as gaunt on bad weeks. She herself was used to missing meals and the material of her own rough linen hung around her form in an unflattering way. It was practical and would be turning no heads. Still, her own garment was still more costly than the practical rags Evelli wore.
Tiye replied and Evelli went right into it. A birth, often cause for unwellness. But, this was not of the physical kind. The woman had what so some women experienced, a sort of elongated unhappy state after the birth of their child. Tiye had seen her father treat such a thing and dismiss it.
“She must turn her thoughts to gratefulness at the child with which she has been blessed.” Was his diagnosis.
“She is me.” Tiye answered, “Your daughter needs time to heal.” It was a near dismissal but she then thought better of it, remembering that this woman looked common on the surface but that was the extent of it.
“I also have a few things that might lift her moods. Do you want them or do you want me to see her?”

A mother's love was never ending, and that meant it didn't stop even after her daughter had become a mother herself. If anything, Evelli wanted even more now to help Olympia overcome this bout of emotions she's found herself facing now, which has now led to today where she sought out some stranger she didn't even know in a kingdom she was highly unfamiliar with, all to help her daughter and newborn grandchild.
It was dark where she entered, and Evelli had to squint to try and see through the dim lighting, but eventually, her eyes adjusted to the lower lighting available, enough for her to see that while they survived, whoever she saw now was obviously not one who had regular meals. It wasnt an unfamiliar sight for sure, as Taengea had their own fair share of beggars. Evelli tries to help sometimes, but there was only so much she could do when too many tried to come and ask for handouts, and she had her own family to care for.
Still, she felt a pang in her chest area for the unkempt look, but was distracted quickly when the woman answered her query on how to help Olympia. Listening with rapt attention, the mother's brows furrowed, and quickly nodded when offered to see things that may uplift her mood. "The things, please." she murmured, gently in hopes she did not hurt anyone's feelings but not wanting the woman to attend to Olympia herself. "My daughter is in a ... delicate situation, and it would be better if she did not see anyone for now. But if you could offer anything that may help her, I'd be extremely grateful." she continued, a hint of plead in her tone.

It was likely this woman's daughter was surrounded by male doctors telling her that her emotions were passing or weak and that she must talk herself our of them or turn to caring for the child as a way to feel better. Perhaps this now grandmother saw this was short sighted and lacked understanding. Women often went into depressive states after birth even if they were perfectly happy before, which made Tiye think something was off balance in their bodies after the physical event and could be physically corrected.
Her heart did something it rarely did these days, it had a small ache for the trouble of a stranger. It was clear in this woman's face that she loved her daughter and was desperate for an answer.
"Your daughter is not an unusual case. Women often have a similar ailment after birth and no one really knows why but the uterus effects many parts of the body. She needs to adjust and that will happen in time, but you can hurry it along. Her heart has gone through changes. She needs to move, have her walk daily...in a place she enjoys or thinks is pretty. She must have light and sun. Feed her soul and spirit, not just her body. Help her with the child so she does not feel overwhelmed. She must drink plenty of water and eat less bread and dark meat for a time."
Tiye was looking in her bag now but had a small supply of medical herbs. She sighed, "Buy this," She turned and handed her a small dried flowering plant, "It's called klamath weed." She handed her a sprig of lavender, "And lavender. She should consume it in a tea or by itself. A small dose of opium will help too but do not take it with the others. I have little enough to give but you can buy it from an apothecary." Tiye guessed the woman could afford it.

What worried Evelli the most, was that Olympia had no access to a proper physician in the first few days after her birth, the days most crucial for recovery in Evelli's opinion. And after her arrival at Colchis, despite there being physicians at her disposal, none of them were as invested in her health as they would back in Colchis - they just were not giving Evelli the security she needed, not the comfort she'd know to get if she was back in Taengea. So Evelli had taken matters in her own hands. The woman had tasked the few servants she had in the Leventi household in Colchis to find a few known herbs, but for the rest, she was out for help.
Listening intently as the mysterious healer explained what she knew, Evelli made mental notes to ask Olympia to take walks often, if only to get Tisiphone sunlight. It being a place she likes was subjective, for she wasn't sure of her daughter liked being in Colchis at all right now - but she'd try what she can. Plenty of water, and less dark meat she can do. But... "Feed her soul and spirit? How would we do that?" she asked, anxious to know everything she could.
Gripping the small dried flowering plant which was handed to her, it wasn't even a question of whether she could buy it or not. Evelli would buy the whole field if it meant helping Olympia. "I will get the opium from the apothecary. How much should the 'little' be?" she asked again, anxiouis to get it right. It was obvious from Evelli's demeanour she was afraid she'd get it wrong and harm her daughter, but she was also desperately trying to remember as much of these details as she could, cursing the fact that she didn't bother bringing a small parchment to note down facts.

“What I mean is make her find joy again with what made her joyful before or find new joy. The heart needs mending and food and herb cannot do this alone.” Tiye said and then thought she would test it, “She is…” Noble, privileged, would step over Tiye if she were dying in the street. Tiye sighed, “I know it is hard but she must try and step away from day to day work.” She added, playing along with this charade for now, “Feed her spirit and soul by doing pleasurable tasks that give her joy. Also, help her find joy in her child.” She explained. The heart was the center of the person, where all thoughts and feelings emitted. It must be treated with care; the body was not the only important thing to keep healthy.
“…How much should the 'little' be?"
“This depends on her tolerance and weight. If she is not used to opium, she must only start with a small pinch in her tea. It helps pain and mood.” Tiye instructed, “Add more if she feels no effects. Never giver her more than two kochliarion.” Her voice became more severe then, “It can be addictive so keep control of how much and how often and then stop administering it when she feels better.” Looking around, Tiye had no paper either, so she took her ink and asked, with a gesture, for the woman’s arm or garment to write upon.

The physician words were easier said then done, Evelli quickly identified. How could she help Olympia find joy when she could not even find joy with her own offspring and husband? Theoretically, Evelli knew she had to help Olympia find joy again, but in a kingdom where she had little access to what she knew was her daughter's favorite food, places and people, she suddenly felt at a loss in a foreign land. As it was, Olympia was already not needed to do any tasks as a Queen, with the current state she was in. Yet her third-born was taking all the stress upon herself, and it was a mental load Evelli could not physically take away from her.
Heaving a deep sigh as Evelli nodded even as her mind worked to try and do as they physician suggested, the woman made a mental note to speak to Stephanos (for if she coudldn't do it, the husband of her daughter should be the one stepping up, should he not?), and perked up as the physician advised the dosages of the herbs that she had prescribed. Thanking the gods for her impeccable memory, Evelli would eventually make sure to instruct the servants to add only a pinch of the opium into Olympia's morning tea, and made the decision to keep the paper herself so it wouldn't be left for anyone to freely take and get addicted to it. She didn't need the Kotas household to be blaming them for their servant's imbibing in addictives at this juncture.
Exposing her arm to the physician to write, Evelli watched as the words were scrawled upon her skin, before retracting it. The brunette blew lightly upon the ink to ensure it dried up and did not smudge once her sleeve fell upon it, and then was quick to flash Tiye a smile and a grateful curtsy. "I will return to assist my daughter in all that you have advised - thank you very, very much." Fumbling for her pouch, Evelli drew out a handful of golden coins, and passed it to Tiye. It was perhaps, far too much payment for the amount of opium and adivce given, but the desperation of Evelli meant she had given the woman an amount far more generous then usual, before quickly turning and making her way back to the Kotas manor, with a list of people she needed to speak to.

Tiye took the money almost begrudgingly. She felt almost too proud to be handed too much money for such a small service. Tiye didn't need charity. Her pride was quickly over come when she saw the amount and she quickly pocketed it in case the women changed her mind or noticed that she had given too much.
Perhaps she was also buying Tiye's silence. That would make sense. Some pride might be wounded on both sides if this interaction were to get out. The woman's real physician might become bitter that she had sought help from another source. Egos in doctors were common. And this woman, whose daughter had just given birth, might not want to be known as the slum noble who dressed in poverty for a day in order to get underground help from a female physician who might better sympathize with the plight of a fellow woman.
Either way, she wanted to assure the woman, for whom she had mixed feelings, that her secret was safe, "You're welcome. As always I maintain the privacy of my patients. No one will know of our conversation." And no one would.
"Be well." She thought it sounded smart, something a professional physician might say. She watched the woman go and waited several minutes. No more footsteps, no more approaching or retreating sounds. Only then she counted the coins in her pocket.
