I could not believe it when you said that no one had ever called you handsome. It may be true that you are not typically attractive according to Greek standards, however, I have perhaps never been known as a typical Greek girl either, particularly when people might think of those who have court access. Maybe that is partly why the gods seem to have decided we suit each other. I always thought you were special to me because you were the first new friend I made when I moved to Laconia, but you've been so much more ever since the day you told me about that fire a few years ago at the Hephaestus festival. I don't know if I ever told you that that was when I finally realized I love you, though I probably actually did long before. .

Well, enough with memories, for now. This is how I imagine you would look in Egypt with the kinds of leaves they have there.  Think of me whenever you look at it, and know there will be more portraits when you return! Of course, when possible, I expect you to pose for a few of them....
