Come home soon, and be safe. I know you are already cautious, but in light of what has happened do not let your guard down around anyone. Before you fret, we are unharmed but a threat was made to our safety and I pray by the time you read this we will be hidden somewhere we cannot be found. Address any letters you may send to Eleni of Melis, she will see they reach me.

I have made amends with my sister, as best can be done in this time, and there is a sense of peace in that. Should anything happen to me she has sworn to protect Tisiphone until you return. Were you not a man of such honor I would demand that you leave the men on the sands and come back to me. I know a debt is owed and I only hope that when this is finished it is paid in full so we can live on our own terms again. 

If you speak with Achilleas, forgive him. I do not believe he knows yet the extend of his father's evil, and Theo sees reason to hope that the senate may be persuaded to overturn the charges against you. Work with them, and perhaps we can finally find peace. 

Not all is darkness, before they returned to Macendia my mother and father have shared that she is with child again. Perhaps there will finally be a Leventi son. And though it is too soon yet to say publicly, I think there may be more cradles to fill the palace. My mother sketched Tisiphone and I together, she had just discovered birds at the time so it was difficult to keep her attention. I hope it is something that will give you comfort until you are with us again.
