Lady Athanasia,
I had meant it in jest and did not mean to offend you. I do hope you will reconsider throwing sharp objects at me. I’m rather fond of my head how it is without any extra holes in it, besides you surely couldn’t mean to deprive the women of Greece such a handsome visage to look upon.
While I think that you could well have joined us on this trip, and perhaps even participated in the festivities with your friends, my voice was not asked for in the discussion. If I believed it would work, then I would tell you to write them and beg to be allowed to join us, but I am afraid that we may well be on the return voyage before you could even arrive.
No weapons, no armor, only pins? I can’t say that I expected you to make such a choice, but I am a man of my word. If you wish to wrestle me for your rematch, then I accept. I look forward to training with you as well.
Your friend,
Alexandros
