Hello, hello! And welcome to a new era and a new day and ohholyjeebus I think Imma die XD Sorry for my lack of activity on the server of late ladies and gents. I hope our posts and updates have been sustaining you in the meantime - if anyone has any plotting they want to throw my way please don't hesitate to DM me! I'm looking forward to writing with our new characters just as soon as I can shake this virus. I won't go into grotty detail for you all but suffice it to say that my good friends pneumonia and chest infection have been playing me like a ping-pong ball. Have no fear, however, determination (and drugs) shall prevail!
In the meantime, let's look to the future of Aeipathy and our path to onward growth. As you can probably imagine with staffing sickness and tech issues some of our planned deadlines have been shifted a little. We are currently working on the last element of the Character Compendium (finally!!) and are looking forward to unveiling it to you soon. This will also mean we can start advertising again and bring in some fresh blood. Until then, however, I hope you guys are enjoying the calmer less life-consuming manner of writing that Aeipathy has taken on in the last few months. Cool, calm and a fun addition to our lives instead of this drama-mongering obsession.
We have some brand new plotting information on the home page regarding the plot-shifts everyone discussed in our plotting channels recently so have a looksie there and see if it inspires you for new character building ideas! Remember: our staff team are here to help you with anything you might me looking to explore with your character. Just tell us the kind of thread you want to write and we'll work to match make you with someone who fits the bill! New Challenge! Bring Me That Horizon The challenge this week is uber simple; have your character admiring the horizon/landscape in some way. This can be because they've gone out riding. They could be watching the sun go down with a loved one. Watching in dread as a storm draws closer, or taking out an easel and working on a painting. Whatever it is, it's entirely up to you but remember that this challenge is about care and description. Make the scenery you focus for a post and stretch your adjective muscles. Let's see Greece through your characters' eyes!
We don't often like to award Member of the Moment to a Staff Team member but it's hard not to when someone has clearly gone above and beyond. As such, with my recent illness and Ivy's computing issues, I'm awarding the MOTM award as a shared and well earned award to Athene and Orchid who have been keeping the chat going and admin matters handled for the last week+! Congrats to you guys - Aeipathy is beyond lucky to have you two as part of its staffing group!

Anger of the Earth Event - Colchis Closing: 18th December 2021
As Colchis reels from recent economic losses, the restriction of coin has been felt all over the kingdom. The cost of wheat and rice grain has risen and the stock of foreign food resources like vegetables and fruit has diminished. Market day is limited and the funds to payf or it even more so. Those with little money now have none. Those with some have been diminished to a little. Only the rich are truly untouched by the downturn. With generations of wealth accumulated in their vaults, there is no means by which the royal houses can altogether suffer the financial cost of such times.
Instead, however, they find themselves responsible for the people. They are approached for answers, accused of responsibility and demanded of charity. To what extent will the ruling classes of Colchis support their people upon bended knee and, at what point does it become a sacrilege to bloodline and authority to allow a populace to rule over the noble?
Now, the choice has been made for the royals. Not only are the people of the capitol, Midas, protesting and ransacking stores for the limited resources they hold bolted inside. Now, the slaves from beneath the very earth itself are rioting. For, when money grows thin and profits are lost, the ones to lose out the most are those considered expendable by their masters. Without food for days and barely enough water to tolerate the hot conditions beneath the earth, several units of slaves have risen up against their masters and broken free of their shackles. Now, at several waylay points in the capitol, where roads lead down to the mines, scantily clad slaves rush into the sunlight and accost the general public for the food they are so desperate to consume...
