Basically, you can use this thread as a full rundown of anything and everything you may have missed happening on the site or on Discord in the last week. You'll also find new challenges, new rewards, new support on how to get involved with events and other such fun plotting things. Obviously, if you have any questions about this normally, you can always ask our staffers or check back over our #announcements channel on the Discord server but this is a handy dandy tool in the meantime.
Yay for Halloween! Congrats to all those who were able to go out trick or treating this year. To those who didn't - there will be another next year, don't lose faith! Luckily we have some fun times here on Aeipathy to distract you with Aeipathy's NaNoWriMo underway and Aeipathy Christmas Advent around the corner! We've also had a request for a Movie Night on the discord server so watch this space! Also, there's a secret event - our first Quest since we rebooted below - read on to find out more about Quests!

New Challenge! Skipping a Beat Here's your challenge this week folks! Have your character recognise someone else they find attractive. That's all it takes. Could be a particular look they give, a batting of the eyelashes, the rapid heartbeat of young love. Could be a partner they've been with for years and still desire and adore. Whatever it is, get your romance and sensuality on! Just have your character notice another in that very special way and then post alink to the thread you did it in in our #member-challenge channel on the Discord server! Have fun getting your flirt on!

Aeipathy NaNoWriMo 2021 It's that time of year everyone, when Aeipathy opens its NaNo doors and offers up our special awards that are only available at this time of year! For those who don't know, NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month and happens every November. It challenges fledgling and veteran writers alike to write roughly 1.5K a day so as to have 50K of their manuscript (the official word count for a 'novel') done by the end of the month. At Aeipathy, we do the same - challenging members to write 50,000 words as their characters across the month of November. You can read more about this fun event here.
Quest Sign-Up For those of you who haven't partaken in an Aeipathy Quest before allow me to enlighten you. Our Quests are like Events - multi-player threads, but you need to sign up ahead of time. Once we have our team you'll be tagged and thrown into a fresh thread with some kind of adventure planned. You might be searching for a Holy relic, you may be hunting down thieves or even sailing the seas looking for the Kraken. Whatever it may be, posts are done in a particular order with Decisions and Consequences posts by our staff team, leading people down particular routes like a Dungeon Master. Think you'd have fun with such a thread? Here's how to sign up...

Just say you're interested (and with which character if you have more than one and you'll be informed of the next step in due course... *waves hands mysteriously*...

Events and Provincial Stories
Our Events and Stories are large, mass threads where everyone who has a viable character for that moment or setting can partake. They are often revolving around key players in our current global plots but they also create great opportunities for characters to meet and greet rather than our site becoming cluttered with 'first encounter' threads. Our Events are voluntary, but we recommend that all members keep at least a cursory eye on what is happening in each on-going Event within any kingdom their character(s) are a part of. This way, you're always up-to-date on the latest drama in your character's homeland.
Check our the updates below for each of our current Events, provided by our Staff Team. All of these Events and Provincial Stories are open so have your character dive in to any and all!
Spice Road Location: Central Plateia > Athenia > Greece Attendance: Open to all players No-one expected flaming poop to be part of the aroma at the Spice Road, but that's exactly what they've gotten! At least Elena of Marikas seems to have found herself a knight in slightly bloodied armour in Leonidas of Athenia - will they get out alright or will they collide with someone else? Your character might be the sticking point for these two, or you might be the one throwing the dung! Are you helping the chaos or contributing to it? Perhaps your a healer? There will be burns, cuts and we already have one broken nose! If you're a trader, I'd hate to think of the state of your stall right now. Duck and cover everyone!
Anger of the Earth Location: Lowers Levels > Colchis > Greece Attendance: Oopen to all players Colchis is reeling from economic loss, coin has been restricted, and this is felt all over the kingdom. Price is going up, and luxury food resources are diminishing. Market day is limited and funds that people are used to paying with, even more limited. The rich are the only ones who are truly untouched. The people are protesting, they are ransacking stores and refusing to lay down and die. The people have decided they're not expendable, slaves are rebelling in their desperation.
Aeolus' Fury Location: Outer City > Taengea > Greece Attendance: Open to all players The winds are howling and the rain is coming down! Vasiliadon is never this heavily attacked by the elements. As such, they're not all that prepared. A makeshift recovery space has been made atop one of the lower city buildings to help those that have been flooded out of their homes. Are you someone looking for a dry place to rest? Aid for your injuries? Or perhaps you're a helper/rescuer of those who are getting caught up in the wind and rain? Alternatively, are you giving at the temples to try and convince the Gods to relieve their punishment?
Birth of a Queen Location: Mikaelidas Palati > Taengea > Greece Attendance: Open to all players Birthdays should be celebrated, and the birthday of Queen Elise is going to be fun. Someone's spiked the punch, there's amazing food, and someone's being sneaky. What are they up to, the person climbing the rooftop of the palati? Do you see them, do you know them? Are you them?
