To Lady Selene of Leventi,
Thank you for your letter. I am unlikely to be the recipient you might choose to discuss such colours and patterns of attire, yes.
I am glad for your upbringing in a safer world than the one I have experienced and wish the exact same for my sister, the Princess Athanasia. I will be escorting her to Taengea soon to stay in the home of the Dimitrou family. Perhaps she might visit you and learn from your family's graceful ways.
I know nothing of living in a houseful of women, given that my own is male dominated. My parents seem permanently unified in their ambitions and hopes for the future. I would not be able to understand a family in which husband and wife do not see the world in the same way, hold the same values and seek the same pleasures from life.
As far as my sanity goes, I think it less a question of finding time to fill with leisurely activities and more a case that I have never developed the skill of relaxing. I am devout to my responsibilities and enjoy my work. Perhaps I am more selfish than selfless in that.
I thank you for your blessing and return the same sentiment.
