Lord Dysmas,

It sounds like it was a day for the underdogs at your boat races. I love that news. That is so exciting. Tino will enjoy that, though I suspect he'll want to know why if they were good enough to win why someone did not sponsor them. Hmmm... not sure I have an answer for that either.

You thought of me as you saw your sister practicing her swordsmanship? Either you've just insulted your sister and deemed her extremely clumsy or you are definitely trying to flatter me, my Lord. I want to think you are trying to flatter me.

Droll scheming and ulterior motives? I didn't realize that my uncle was in Athenia. I should apologize for that. My uncle is all droll scheming and ulterior motives.

I am going to ignore the comment about why my 9-year-old brother is not writing to you. I've told you already, encouraging him to speak was a mistake. Encouraging him to write you does not impress me. There is no need to hear anything about me possibly from him.
