It calms my heart greatly to hear that your words for the Dimitrou family are well ones. I do admit, I am highly worried, for I know my sister to be one who would do anything in the name of duty. I simply hope Lord Iason would treat her well, and would do her proud in naming him her King on the throne. It would please me greatly if you would assist me in asking the Crown Prince of Colchis in what his judgement of Lord Iason is. In truth, any news regarding Lord Iason and his past, I would appreciate greatly. I do not mean to snoop, and I do apologize if I come off that way, for I simply am worried for my sister.
I would be delighted to, and I do hope you would be able to visit soon. Alas, I fear I do not know where else would I put to use such an extravagant dress, and I confess I have half a mind to strip it down to a simpler number once the event is over. But it is such an exquisite piece that I find myself asking my retainers to store it for now, until I could bear to part with the work of art.
I do hope you do get over your fear soon, Selene dearest, and I'm certain you will, for you are one of strong personality. Because if your life is anything like mine, to avoid large crowds seems to be an impossibility. My sister has done a great deal in allevieting my nightmares from the event, and the presence of my guards have calmed me greatly. Perhaps the greatest help has been the puppy Nicholai has given me, a canine I have named Labros. He is a black beauty who, Nicholai assures me, will grow to be a protective guard dog, and with him asleep at my feet each night, I feel much at ease.
Athenia is at... somewhat ease. With the Senate meeting coming up in a week's time, things are a little uneasy, but Persephone has kept me mostly out of things, and I do not wish to pry into matters which I have no clue in. I confess, I do not have a mind for politics, and neither do I wish to wade in to such unfamiliar waters. My father has been gathering his strength to attend the Senate meeting, and I have simply been by his side to assist and accompany him when necessary.
The end of the race was... exhilirating. I fear Poseidon may not have been happy with us, for reasons I do not know. The sharks attacked all the boat's and skafos's enrolled, and we could not end the race with a winner due to the carnage that followed. I think Athenia has been duly warned by the God, for the week that followed saw many Athenians visiting the God of the Sea's temple, and many offerings and sacrifices done in his name.
Do extend my well wishes to your father and your sister as well. I have heard from the crown's advisors that your brother-in-law seems eager to ensure peace once returns to your Kingdom? I truly wish that is the case, for I remember Vasiliadon being a truly happy place when I was in attendance for the first three days of the festival, before the tragedy occured. I wish I could've seen the dress to your sister's wedding, but I believe it would make her a great beauty, as the Leventi's are. If possible, do seek out dandelion tea, as it may help her Highness in any form of bloating or swelling she may experience, but do caution her on too much of it. A mug of it a day may be enough. I picked up that little tidbit of information from my handmaiden, who just happens to be reading this as I write it.
May Higyiea bless your family,
Emilia
