The sun was starting to set in the sky, nightfall approaching swiftly as Apollo pulled the sun away out of the sky and Nyx enveloped the world in darkness. The only light to be seen, just after the sun had finally disappeared just passed the horizon, was the pale glow of the moon as she rose higher in the night sky. Only one could be seen, a hooded figure making her way through the city streets, wandering aimlessly as her mind drifted. Athanasia had no idea on what she was doing, lost in her need to somehow figure everything out, she found her feet leading her more and more to the center of the city. Down where the temples were, deep within the earth.
Pulling her cloak around her, keeping her head covered after sneaking out again, for the first time in a long time the woods didn't call to Asia in a way that it could soothe her. Her mind thought back to the anger her brother had shown, a new kind of rage that she had never seen from any of them even as she tormented them at times to no end. The only good thing that their anger had created was that Asia and Evras had hopefully made amends and became friends again. Moving further into the temple, Asia was not even sure why she felt a need to come but somehow as her feet hit the last step, calmness seeped into her.
It was quiet tonight, no one was around that she could even hear as she stepped further in, feeling almost as if she stepped into another world. Maybe this was how it felt when gods were around? Asia knew that wasn't possible, she wasn't that interesting for any god to appear to her, but still, she placed her quiver of arrows at the statue of Ares' feet. It didn't look like she would need them anymore, after having thrown her bow at Zanon, she doubted that she would ever get it back. How could she have done that? How could Zanon make her nephew cry like he did? In her fit of rage, she threw her most prized possession, the bow that Zanon had given her, right at him and walked away. As the memory filled her, Asia sunk to her knees right at the base of the large statue and for the first time in a long time, she truly cried. Within the silence of the temple, the sounds of her soft sobs filled the air as she pulled her cloak around her tightly as she hugged her knees close, hiding from the world outside. After a couple moments, Asia lifted her head as the feeling of no longer being alone shifted the air around her. Snatching one of her arrows quickly and pulling out her dagger, she held both of them up in a motion that could not be mistaken for anything other than she was going to stab whoever tried to attack her. "Who goes there?!"

After a rather erm, interesting conversation between Sil and another man in the fields nearby, he had finally managed to get out of his moping stage. After all, he realized that moping wasn't going to help his situation anyway. Being sad won't help get him out of death if the princes were going to come after him, after figuring out that Tim had lied about who the culprit was. He figured it was better to go about his day, get his head cleared, put the past in the past and think of a way to keep himself alive.
Continuing to move aimlessly around the capital, all the while thinking. It wasn't until the sun went down did Sil realize how much time he had wasted roaming Midas. But hey at least he got some cloudly thoughts cleared and out of the way. Feeling more refreshed than ever, he was now viewing the world differently. Currently, it was most preferred that he went back home in the Upper Levels and calmly talked things out with Tim. Turning back towards the roads he had been traveling the most, he lit a torch to guide his way back home in the dark.
As he traveled past the many temples, Sil suddenly stopped when he heard sounds of sobbing. Was someone hurt or sad or even in danger? His heart clenched as he remembered himself in that kind of situation years ago. Lucky for him, he met a kind healer who consoled him. He ought to repay the favor and see who it was that was in need of help. Carefully he made his way towards the noise. Around the bend, the young man stopped in his tracks when he heard a young female voice call out 'Who goes there?' The voice sounded very afraid and very angry at the same time. He wondered if it was alright to proceed forward or if he should stay out of it. He didn't want to endanger himself in any way possible.
He finally decided to take a chance and help the poor thing. Taking a deep breath before stepping out of the shadows, he moved towards the female voice. "Be still, milady. I am not here to hurt you." Sil said as soothingly as possible. "I am here because I heard crying. I didn't realize I have stumbled upon a fallen angel. Are you alright? Are you hurt or lost?" As he said that, he mentally kicked himself for the statement. Now was not the time to be flirting. Had he not gotten enough trouble already for flirting? As he got closer to where she was sitting, he recognized the female to be a princess of the Kotas's family. His heart dropped uncomfortably to his feet. Uh oh... However, he went a few more steps forward. Perhaps he was a glutton for punishments, or he just couldn't resist a beautiful woman, regardless if they were terrible for his health.

Athanasia couldn't help but cry as she thought of the past few nights, the rage in her brother's face, how scared Evras looked, and everything that transpired that night. It all broke her heart to the point that she felt lost as to what she could expect in the future. Athanasia had never been to the temples on her own, she always had a guard of some sort or she was with family. While she sat there at the statue's feet she would never be able to explain later on how she felt her feeling of solitude vanish, but Asia did and prepared herself for anything as she pulled out her dagger and grabbed one of her arrows in self-defense as she felt a rush of regret for not bringing a guard with her.
As she prepared, keeping her hood over her head in an attempt of conceling herself, she heard a male voice reach her through the quiet. Looking up at the statue that she sat at and back towards the approching male, Asia's voice shook a little with unreleased emotions. "Are you Ares?" Who was she kidding? Why would Ares come to visit someone like her? Someone who was sitting here crying because of her rage and pain from her family. "I am neither hurt nor lost, Stranger. So if you think you will find an easy target, you are mistaken." Asia's guard was up, even as she sat there on the ground with her dagger and arrow held in front of her, she didn't comment on if she was alright. As he moved closer, she watched him carefully, not really seeing his face as it was hidden by shadows in the faint firelight. "I am no angel either."

The moon was now high in the sky. It was getting rather late, and Sil was antsy in getting home. He wasn't about to get into any more trouble. But he just couldn't leave anyone by themselves especially this late in the evening. It wasn't like him. Edging closer, he could see the figure holding a dagger and an arrow. His own hand had traveled quickly to his sword before he had heard the voice, but he quickly dropped it to show that he was not her enemy, or didn't wish to be hers.
Sil made a face when the female asked if he was Ares. "Goodness no, milady. I may never be so bold to pretend that I am a god. No, I am a mere mortal man." He let out a soft scoff at her next words. "Easy target? Do you really think that low of me? I only do want to help you, but it sounds like you do not want my help at all. Perhaps I should leave you here and allow another to find you. Be warned not all who wanders the dark are as friendly as I am." He turned to walk away. He wasn't going to bother with keeping acquaintance with someone who apparently didn't want him around.
He let out a soft chuckle at her words about not being an angel."Oh, I can see that, but you are no devil or witch. If you were, I would probably be dead or cursed, hmm?" Why was he still here making small talk with her? Sil really ought to be on his way. He turned his gaze onto his torch. It had burned about half of his supply of fat. If he stayed any longer, he might have to walk home in the dark. Not that he was worried about it. He could easily defend himself. He just preferred not to. He didn't know what else was lurking in the dark tonight.

When he stated that he wasn't Ares, it confirmed her thoughts. Why would a god hear her hopes that everything will go back to the way it was and be sane again? When she commented on easy targets, she gave him a 'really..?' kind of look that showed him that she wondered why he would think she would think otherwise. "Well, as you have stated, you are a mortal man. I am here, it is dark, and I do not know you. You do not know me. Why would I think otherwise at first meeting, in the dark?" A simple question really. "Why are you here?" Watching as he had turned away, talking about others that may come across her as well, Asia kicked a small stone away from her as she lowered her dagger and put the arrow back. As she hugged her knees again, she rested her chin on them. "I didn't think anyone would be here. Gods! I am not even supposed to be here. "
Without introducing herself, she did not expect him to either. Two strangers in the night, meeting by chance. "You may call me Asia, if you really just were checking on me and wish to stay, better than just 'you'." Athanasia didn't move from her spot, feeling shielded by Ares as the newcomer moved in closer, the firelight's shadows hiding most of his features. When she looked down at the ground, she missed him looking at the torch, her mind lost in thought for the moment. "What would.." Should she ask a complete stranger about what they would do about family? Did she feel betrayed by her brother for how he acted towards his own family? "Have you ever been hurt, by family? Not physically.. but still.." Why was she asking a complete stranger this? Moving to hide her face, Asia rested her forehead against her knees, still able to hear if he answered her.

A small smirk played on SIl's lips as he listened to the female talk about why she would think that low of him. He should have figured not all females would throw themselves at him at first sight. Wow, this was the first no? It felt a bit strange, but not in a wrong way either. "Touché, milady." He said with a nod of his head, though he knew she wouldn't be able to see him doing it. "Did you really want lord Ares to be here?" He asked softly, looking a little uncertain. He surely didn't want the god of war to show up anytime. He only just avoided death and wasn't about to court it again anytime soon.
At that simple question to why he was there, SIl raised an eyebrow at her once more. "Were you not paying any attention to what I had just finished saying? I was just passing by when I heard someone or something that sounded like they were in distress." He explained a bit impatiently, not really wanting to go into any more details than that. He wasn't going to tell someone who sounded like the princess what he had done recently.
With his back towards her still, a smile secretly played on Sil's face as he heard a pebbled being kicked before the arrow being put away. He had gotten her to accept him with his little act. Hook, line, and sinker. Turning back towards the female, he shrugged his shoulders as he replied, "I shouldn't be loitering around here either. If you don't say anything, I won't either." As the female finally mentioned her name... or a part of her name, his suspicions came true. It really was her. Good thing he didn't say anything that might come in conflict with things.
"It's a pleasure, Asia. I am Sil, then." He murmured back in a mild tone. When Asia began talking once more, the young man's eyes flickered back onto her from his torch. "I would what?" He asked confusedly before taking in a sharp breath at her questions. Oh, that hit too close to home. How could he explain it to her? Letting out his breath in a soft hiss, he sighed a little, coming in closer, "Yes and no. In the past, perhaps I was in your shoes. But right now, now more the opposite actually. I've... accidentally hurt someone that I love dearly. No, I didn't injure them physically, but in a way, I injured them mentally, spiritually...." He trailed off, not knowing what else to say. After a bit of silence, he asked hesitantly, "Why are you asking, milady. Did someone hurt you or a dear one? Did someone die?" His mind automatically went straight to Evras. Could something have already happened to her? His heart thudded horribly in his chest.

When the man agreed with her on why she assumed what she did, Athanasia couldn't help but let out a little snort of a laugh, sounding almost like a muffled huff as she still sat curled up on the ground. When he asked if she really wanted Lord Ares to show up, she couldn't help but give him a small shrug. "I was just praying to him, asking him for strength and courage to deal with a couple things. If you were him, I would think he was granting my request or coming to kill me for daring to ask since I am a woman." A simple comment but one that wasn't uncommon to hear. Sure, women were allowed in wars as archers, but only if they could keep back a good distance and stay out of fights. A princess, on the other hand, she had to do everything that Asia didn't want to do. Hearing the impatience in his voice had Asia scowling at him as she answered in a tone that matched his, "I was paying attention, I just was curious as to what you were doing here to be so close enough that you could hear me. It is called curiosity."
She didn't really care what brought him there or not, he was distracting her from her pain and instead igniting her anger and irritation, both emotions she could use much easier than pain. "Who am I going to tell? I do not even know who you are." As she gave him her nickname, a name that only family used, she nodded slightly as he told her his. "Sil." As they spoke a little here and there, Asia finally got up a nerve to ask him something she would not dare to ask anyone who knew who she was or even what happened just a few nights ago. Hearing his sharp breath, she lifted her head and looked up at him, curious now as to what he would say. "What happened? If you don't mind my curiosity." When he asked her why she asked, Asia lowered her chin on her knees again as she sighed softly. "It wasn't at me, physical or even directed. No one died, though I did throw my bow at their head." Reaching down though not moving her head, she flicked at a pebble as she thought about things. "It was my favorite bow. It was a gift, and I gave it back."

Sil tilted his head to the side when he heard the small noise that came from the woman. Was it a laugh or did he imagined it? But it was gone as quickly as it began, so he couldn't quite tell. When she explained why she wanted Ares to appear, he nodded. "I see. Why would you want courage and strength for?" He then let out a sight cough and muttered, "A woman or not, it's not common for a woman to be asking the god of war for anything." He wasn't able to make the woman any angrier, but he couldn't help but say it. Apparently, luck wasn't on his side for he did make her angrier with his comment about her not paying attention. "Peace, milady, peace. Forgive me. I didn't mean to get you angry. It's just that I'm not really in the mood to answer that question. Plus, it's not something to talk about in the presences of a woman." He tried to play it off as much as possible.
"Tell? There are plenty of things to talk to even if you are alone. The gods, the stars, the plants, the buildings..." Sil listed off with a teasing tone. "And know you know." He added when he finally gave her a name to go with his face. Still standing in the dark with a steadily going out torch, the young lord swallowed a bit when the princess (she didn't know he knew) asked about what happened. He let out an awkward cough and muttered, "I did something I probably shouldn't have, and now it's causing my brother a lot of grief." He was feeling slightly weak at the knees at this point, so he moved forwards and sat down by the young woman, leaving an appropriate amount of space in between them. Tim would probably kill him if he knew where Sil was and in whose company he was with at the moment.
Breathing out a quiet sigh, the young man murmured, "Well that's good. Erm, bad for your bow of course, but good that no one was hurt." It was more than good, but Asia didn't need to know. Sil's heart lifted slightly at the good news, and he found himself slightly giddy. Forcing himself to be more composed, he noticed that the young woman was in a bad mood once more. Hesitantly he reached out and gently patted her back. "Perhaps when things are right again, whomever it was might give it back to you?" He suggested quietly. "Afterall they did give it to you as a gift. Who in the right mind would take back a gift that they gifted?" He absently continued to pat Asia on the back, as he stared at the dying torch in his hand. His mind whirled wondering if he should send the girl back home or if he should walk her halfway before going home himself.

Athanasia and Sil talked for a time, about little things and about why she was asking Ares for anything when he's one comment ignited her anger all over again. When he said peace and that he didn't want to tell her what he was doing because she was a woman, Asia could not help it as she rolled her eyes even as she kept the move hidden as she ducked her head for her hood to fall lower. Yeah, she could just imagine what he meant, she had fought the soldiers. They talked.
As Sil moved closer, Asia watched as he sat down while they talked more. Asia didn't want to give him her name that would tell him that she was the princess, she didn't know him or anything, so she could at least be cautious there. Instead Athanasia gave him her nickname that was often never used in public, hoping that she could stay just some random girl that he happened to find. When he teased her about telling the gods, stars, plants, and even buildings about them loitering around; Asia couldn't help but chuckle softly as she shook her head. Smiling a tiny smile after he said his name, she had to admit that she felt a little better at knowing his name. Made him feel less like a stranger, even if he possibly lied about it.
Asia was curious about him, asking questions that she probably should never ask but her curiosity bloomed the more they talked. So when she asked him what happened to him to those few nights ago, Athanasia was honestly surprised that he answered even the little that he did. "You don't have to tell me, but I hope that your issue gets solved soon, I guess. Whatever it may be that is causing your brother grief, and that you possibly don't do it again." Watching as Sil moved closer and actually sitting near her, Asia watched warily before relaxing slightly. She only half listened as she vented about loosing her bow, doubting that she would get it back or even if it survived for how hard she threw it. She wanted to hurt her brother for being a drunken madman at that moment, the only good that came of that night was that she made a friend again and things started to become fixed again.
Asia was slow to forgive though. When Sil patted her on the back ever so lightly, it surprised her out of her thoughts, giving him a pathetic little smile as she shook her head. "I doubt I will get it back any time soon." Watching as Sil kept looking at his torch in worry, Asia stretched out her legs before finally standing up. "If you wish to leave, you don't have to stay. I probably won't stay much longer as it is, with it getting cooler, I probably shouldn't." Looking up to where it was easy to see the moon, Asia closed her eyes for a moment as she basked in the cool rays that hit her face, feeling the peace of the night wash over her for the moment. She didn't pay attention as she let her guard down just a little, jumping to catch her hood as it fell off her head. Maybe he didn't see? Asia pulled it quickly back into place, snorting a laugh at herself for being so careless. "I have to say, I do feel a little better after talking with you. So maybe Ares did send you my way." Was she trying to distract him? Yes, she was. Hoping he didn't see her mistake as she took a step further away from where he was, leaving her arrows on Ares' alter. "How much longer do you think you have for your torch to last?"

Strangely talking with Asia brought peace to Sil's mind. It calmed him down a bit and forced his mind away from what had happened that night. As they talked about the gods and other stuff, the young man joined in with her laughter before letting it fade away. That was actually the first time he had laughed since that night. It felt good to do so. Giving her a glance at her words, he nodded his head, "Many thanks, Asia. But I don't think it would be resolved that easily. I barely escaped death's grip, and that itself probably won't be enough to appease him." As those words left his mouth, Sil let out a sharp intake of breath. Shit, he had said too much. "Of course, I will try my best not to do it again." He mumbled and quickly added, "Pray, do forget what I have said earlier. It is not important, and I should not have mentioned it."
At his patting, SIl stifled a laugh at the surprised look Asia sent him. Shrugging his shoulders, he replied to her comment about not getting her bow back anytime soon. "But that is better than not getting it back at all right?" He gave her a kind smile in return. Pulling his hand back, he watched the young woman stand up. Tilting his head to the side, he said, "No, if you are staying, then I shall as well. It is not gentlemanly of me if I let a woman be by herself in the dark."
He tilted his head up towards the moon as well, when he saw Asia do it. It was getting brighter as the clouds went away, but it was still dark. Pulling his gaze back on to the princess, Sil smiled at her and shrugged his shoulders, "It has been a pleasure. If lord Ares did send me tonight, then it has been an honor serving him." He replied honestly with a slight bow. He watched her place her arrows on the altar of the said god before tilting his head to the side once more and thought about the answer for a few seconds. "Honestly, I do not know. I am not worried, however, seeing I can see well enough in the dark. What I am worried is about your safety. Shall I walk you halfway home?" He asked the last part hesitantly.

He replied honestly with a slight bow.

When Sil comments on having escaped death, Asia couldn't help but wonder just what it was that he had done. Death was a serious matter, indeed. So when she was about to ask, Sil interrupted as he asked her to forget what he said, causing Athanasia to shake her head ever so slightly. Was he a criminal? What could he have done that warranted possible death? Should she be on her guard? "So you almost die and I am told I could be seen as betraying my family because of what I did." The laugh that she let out wasn't a happy sounding laugh as she covered her face for a moment with her hand.
Asia caught the small laugh from Sil when she looked over at him, turning her look of surprise into a small glare before letting out a soft sigh. "Maybe. I honestly don't know if I will get it back or if I will just have to get a new one myself." As she got up, she wondered just what she was going to do next about everything. Did she really humiliate herself by helping out as she did? When she offered for Sil to leave if he needed, his answer surprised Asia, especially with how often he looked at his torch and seemed in such a hurry.
If Athanasia was in a better mood, watching as Sil tilted his head to the side as he did, she would have found him cute. So as they talked more and gazed at the moon, she couldn't help but feel better as the time passed, and she told him such. Sil's answer had her ducking her head to hide her smile, unable to stop herself. "Well, I appreciate the offer, and it is always good to listen to lord Ares when he has you do something."
As Sil offered to walk her halfway home, Asia wasn't sure if that would be wise. If he followed her the rest of the way, the mystery of who she was would be gone, wouldn't it? She didn't know that he already knew who she was, thinking her disguise was a good one. After a debate with herself, she had to shrug a little to her thoughts, "You may, if you wish, you do not have to. It is a nice night to enjoy, with the moon so bright." The thought that he was worried about her safety gave Asia an almost girly and giddy feeling, something completely foreign to her when usually she would feel stifled if her family did the very same thing. It was a feeling that she wanted to escape even as she was curious about it, so in her insinuation that he might have other plans so he didn't have to walk her home. Even if she found herself hoping that he didn't have anything planned and keep her company longer.
