A truly beautiful place of worship to honour Hera, Queen of the Gods. The Naós to the Goddess of Fertility and Marriage sits just outside of the old town of Thestus. A feat of stone and marble, it is a low lying, long building where a statue of Hera presides over the temple pool and casts her all-seeing eyes over those who come to beg her favour in matrimony or anything else. Surrounding the temple are lush green gardens, made home to a party of peacocks, who are treated as reverently as the depiction of the goddess herself.
