Convinced that Aeipathy is worth a try? Fantastic! Follow the instructions below to create an account. Note the
Creating an Account section in particular to ensure that you do not register incorrectly.
If you're still looking around, this page offers links to all relevant areas of the
Encyclopaedia, like a
Newcomer's List, to ensure you find, and create, the perfect character for you.
Before Registering
Some pages of our Encyclopaedia are
mandatory reading. Before you apply, please ensure that you read these threads in their entirety:
We also recommend that you
familiarise yourself with these pages. These are not compulsory and not all details will be significant / relevant to you, but it is important for you to know where to access the information within them, should you need it.
Still trying to choose which character to create? The links here are
optional resources to help you decide and to generate new ideas.
Chasing the CrownWant to learn even more about the world of Aeipathy? A way of ensuring you know all there is to know, is our
Chasing the Crown feature. Just click the icon to be taken to the first page of an
all-inclusive walk-through of our
Encyclopaedia; both OOC and IC sections.
Creating an Account
Accounts must be registered using the
first name only of your character. This is to ensure our automated tracking and tagging system operates correctly. If you are making the character 'Alehandros of Antonis', for example, your username must be 'alehandros' only. How your account name is
displayed can be altered later. Usernames
cannot be changed. Any accounts created with the wrong username will need to be
deleted and remade. Please be careful. You can use the appropriate link or icon at the top of any Aeipathy site page, the pencil icon below or simply
click here to register an account with us.
Building Your Profile
Once you have an account, access your profile via your account name or the icon in the
top left of the Aeipathy site or
click here. Once in your profile, the
cog icon in the top right of the main section will take you to the edit profile page where you'll complete the details of your character profile, shipper and tracker. The instructions in the edit profile field are detailed and may seem intimidating at first. Each section has been
designed to require the least effort for our members. Most of the application comprises of drop-downs and tick boxes to make this easier for members. It's
not as challenging as it may first appear.
Please be aware that you profile
does not save automatically. You
must hit the
'Save Personal Settings' button at the bottom of the page to save any edits you have made to your account at any time.
Useful ResourcesThe links listed below are pages that may not be necessary / relevant to your character but could be of use to you when working on your profile's app. We also strongly recommend familiarising yourself with the
Encyclopaedia pages specific to your character's homeland.
Completing Your Profile
Because our code is reliant on all sections of your application being completed accurately, we hide your profile from view until it is ready. This gives you privacy to work on your character in peace. Once the edit profile page is complete and you are happy with your character, you can use the
Application Complete? button to view your profile's finished form. Just ensure the box is ticked and hit
'Save Personal Settings' when done. You can access your character's profile page using the
navigation bar (running across the top of the site) or the icon in the
top left of the site.
Please NoteTicking the 'Application Complete?' box
does not save your application. You
must hit the
'Save Personal Settings' button to save your work. This tick box only makes what is already saved
visible. If anything on your profile looks amiss, or coding appears incorrect, this may be because certain elements of your profile have not been completed accurately. Please consult your
mentor for help correcting this error. If you have not been assigned a mentor, please log into our
Discord server and speak to a member of our
staff team.
When you're ready to have your application reviewed, use the
link at the top of your profile page to submit your character to the staff team. The message will come from your current profile so all you need to do is let us know it's finished! A simple message like:
'This character is ready for review, please!' is all we need!
Character Acceptance
Our staff aim to review your character profile
within 3 working days. If the character is accepted, you'll be tagged in a
character acceptance notification on our
Discord server and sent a
confirmation PM here on the site.
If there is an issue with your profile that is holding up character acceptance for whatever reason, you will be
DMed on
Discord (if you are not a part of our server you will
receive a PM on the site) clarifying any changes required. This 'review' is also posted in our private staffing server, with a
tag to your assigned mentor. This way, your
mentor will know the updates needed and be there to support you in making them.
Please NoteWe at Aeipathy do not like the idea of 'rejecting' character applications. We review and we help to build characters up stronger.
We do not decline or reject characters without discussion or support.
Pre-Roleplaying
Eager to write your character
before acceptance? We've got your covered! You can roleplay any character (accepted or otherwise) in our
Pre-Roleplay board! You'll need an account from which to post, registered under your character's first name as detailed above. But you do not need a completed or accepted profile to roleplay in this board. Try the character on for size and treat the board like an
AU space of roleplay. Or you can roleplay stories you want to write
in-canon and then request the threads
moved once your character has been accepted.
Please NoteAll stories written in the
Pre-Roleplay board are considered AU and
not a part of our canon story
until they are moved into the main boards.
Ready, Set, Go!
And you're off! We hope you enjoy roleplaying on Aeipathy! If you have any concerns on how to build your character, stories or plotlines, check out these links for further information:
